Dried toothpaste on bed sheets, dried nasal contents on the bathroom walls, crumbs and filth all over poorly vacuumed carpets

Right off freeway

Posted 23-Aug-2015
The ice machine was broken during entire stay. The toaster was messed up at breakfast, I decided to have the oatmeal instead. The hot water was out, i had to make the oatmeal in my room with coffeemaker. Had a coffee taste. Better than nothing. On 2nd day, Internet was down so no wifi.

Clean room, very comfortable. Staff was nice and knowledgeable. A good location for travel. The breakfast was minimal and insipid , the coffee isn't strong, the yogurt was diet.

Stranded and safe

Posted 05-Aug-2015
Pros: For the price, it is a great quality. They work hard to keep the rooms clean and are accommodating to meet needs.
Cons: Overall the only thing I would improve was that the bathroom is very small, almost uncomfortably so.
Location: Dillion/Silverthrone is a small town and this hotel is close to everything.
We had a car breakdown right outside of Eisenhower tunnel and ended up being stranded in Dillion for 4 days while our car was repaired. This hotel was great, I would stay again if ever in the area.

Just for sleeping

Posted 28-Jul-2015
Conveniently located near the lake. Pet friendly for a very reasonable rate. Not a lot of space near the hotel to walk your pet. Minimal amenities. Ok if you are just planning on sleeping. Soap provided but no shampoo or conditioner. Hair dryer didn't work. Small fridge to keep our fish. Good enough for very short stay but nothing great.

Kiana was rude

Posted 28-Jul-2015
Pros: Kyle, our room, convenience, price and breakfast.
Cons: Some Super 8 motels have waffles and that would have been nice in that nippy environment. Biscuits and gravy would have been outstanding.
Location: It was the perfect location as we were planning to be in Dillon, Frisco and Breckenridge. Lots of things to do in all the towns. Great!
We were somewhat disappointed at the breakfast (for Super 8), but those things become minimal when all else is good. Kyle checked us in and he was polite, friendly, courteous and a joy to work with even though there was a misunderstanding about the pet fee, which was straightened out later. . The room was satisfactory and we were doing well until Kiana came by Wednesday morning asking if we were checking out. I explained her that we actually had two separate bookings and we would be staying one more day. She was not cordial when people came and went and it seemed to deteriorate as time went on. Her attitude was less than accommodating and as I talked with her about the pet charge she got belligerent and ended up calling ME rude! I will not tell you not to go here as the hotel itself is fine, but I'm hoping someone listens and finds a nice, friendly person to replace her.

In many of the reviews, the comment was,' it is a bed'. This is true. The room seemed to be clean. I had reserved two rooms. One with a queen bed and the other with two full sized beds. When we got there, there was a mix up in the booking and we got two rooms with full sized beds. The room was hot and with two sleeping in a full bed, we need cool. There was no elevator in the hotel. I have disagreeable knees, so that was not good news. It worked ok, but it came down to, 'it is a bed'.

Nice for the price

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Pros: Staff, location
Cons: Carpet, breakfast
Location: The hotel is at the crossroads of I-70 and CO 6 - enough said
Good hotel, good price, good location close to everything (but that's any hotel in Dillon, CO). Staff is excellent, but overall condition is just... OK. Can't complaint, since the Prepaid option was the cheapest option available. Rooms are a bit small for families, but would be OK if no children were present.

Ok hotel, no elevator, poor continental breakfast

Posted 21-Jul-2015
Pros: Location & price.
Cons: Continental breakfast options.
Location: Lake Dillon, skiing (winter), drive up to the Continental Divide (via Hwy 6) and hike around.
A city-wide power outage kept up from being able to check in upon arrival, so left my mobile # with desk clerk who said he would call when power was restored. Then he didn't call. Finally called the hotel and phone was working (so power was back on), then he explained he could not call 'long distance' from the hotel - and in Breckenridge, CO almost every traveler's cell phone would be a 'long distance' call - so not sure what he was thinking when he made the original offer to call me. Long day of travel was made a little longer by having to carry bags up stairs to 3rd floor. Not a big deal, but travelers need to know about lack of an elevator as this could be a problem for some. Room was clean and comfortable, in line with expectations for this category of hotel. Breakfast, however, was pretty weak by any standards. Minimal items, mostly prepackaged, no fruit when I checked. It felt more like going to a gas station store than to a hotel continental breakfast bar. At the price point, I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. Would consider staying there again, at a low price point and just have lower expectations next time around.
