Not A Good Nights Sleep

Posted 21-Aug-2015
Pros: staff
Cons: Food service, doors, thermastats should actually work.
The thermostat in our room did not work. It was after 10pm... too late to call maintenance. So, we attempted to sleep in a room that was 80 degrees. The doors at this hotel BANG. So, all night, early morning, you get woke up by banging doors. Ate at their Bistro, as that was all that was open. Sat a long time before anyone came to our table. Very slow getting the food. Once we did, the soup was cold. A ham sandwich with a handful of lettuce was $12.00. Only good thing was the staff and the room itself was nice.

A lovely weekend

Posted 10-Aug-2015
Pros: Beautiful facility in a lovely setting.
Cons: We don't like the comforters all nice hotels seem to be providing...too hot, but if you kick it off it is too cold with just a sheet. A common issue.
Location: We loved the walking trails and ate breakfast and lunches beside the water in pleasant surrounding with delicious food.
In town for a wedding, we made a mini-vacation for ourselves in addition to the family occasion. Our room was small but beautifully appointed. The staff was accommodating and polite.

HOT HOT HOT despite the cool mountain air!

Posted 06-Jul-2015
Pros: There are tons of family-friendly activities available at the resort and the fireworks display over the resort lake was a pretty amazing surprise!
Cons: The property was very pretty and we loved the flowers although the whole place looks like it could use a coat of paint and DEFINITELY BETTER SIGNAGE.
Our room was very hot (75-78 degrees even w/thermostat turned all the way down), the standing portable fan was broken so we propped the small fan on an overturned ice bucket in front of the open window, the bathroom lights flickered and the ceiling fan did not run, the hair dryer blew the circuit and would not reset, and one of two mattresses was uncomfortably mushy. We appreciated the super-efficient valet service included in our visit but we were here to see the area so it felt like we were constantly checking the car in-and-out to the tune of a valet tip (albeit deserved) every single time. I completely understand the ski crowd dropping their cars and using shuttles but during the summer months, guests should have access to their car as needed even if means walking across the road. We skipped going back into town after the fireworks without kid/dog to try out a beer at the local brewery but getting the car out of valet (again!) was just too much of a mental hassle. In addition, because we were not familiar with resort (although happily it turned out to be much more than expected), we had a difficult time negotiating the property as the signage within the hotel is very, very, poor. Everyone was very nice but we overheard some of the shopkeepers speaking disparagingly about the Farmers Market concept to some residents, which was a bit of a downer but we will definitely give it another shot in the future to see if we just experienced an off-weekend.

Really like the loft rooms

Posted 05-Jun-2015
Stayed during the office season so it wasn't very busy. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Loved the loft room with the extra floor even though it was just me and my wife. Nice bike path right behind hotel

Fantastic hotel for families

Posted 26-May-2015 on Hotels
Spent the long weekend in this hotel with our children and had a wonderful experience. Keystone resort area was quiet this time of year, but we just wanted to relax in the mountains and hike and that's exactly what we got here. The room was nice, comfortable, nice view of mountains, amenities were plentiful, location in resort was good with playground for kids. All staff were friendly and helpful. We all loved our short vacation and will definitely come back to this hotel.
