Central Hub Locations for Fall Aspen Site-Seeing
Hotel is listed as Non-Smoking. However, coffee can pots at all doors indicate smokers still prevalent at facility. When we checked into first room, could not stand the smell of smoke from prior guest. May not have been smoking in room itself; but prevalence of smoke odor from a person who had likely brought in lingering smoke from body, clothes, and/or baggage. Front desk very cooperative in relocating us upon noting this problem. Another concern we did not address to staff was that door at end of hallway near stairway to our 2nd floor room was never locked. Normally, we walk rather than ride the single elevator in hotels/motels to get our exercise and then park near an end that affords quick entry and exit via lockable door entry system. However, this hotel did not have secured locking system working. Hotel is in relatively good neighborhood; but key-card was not required to enter from end of hallway door at anytime of day. Staff were very friendly and food host was exceptional at keeping breakfast items fully in stock for patrons. Comfort Inn Suites appears to be a new facility with up-to-date and clean furnishings. However, their breakfast area was a bit cramped area compared to many other similar hotels, and appeared to be the hang-out to several different business people with their laptops and/or cell phones competing with TV and conversations in room (even during off meal times). Great central location for day-trips to view Fall Aspens in vicinity. Hard working staff.
