This hotel is exactly what my husband and I were looking for on our recent wine tour weekend. Very well maintained, nicely renovated and right on the lake. We stayed in a studio suite and our room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable.
We visited in early October and although there was a wedding party in the hotel, we found it to be very quiet at night. Great location for walks along the lake, or renting one of their free bikes for a longer tour.
Summerland itself is VERY quiet in October. Not much to do unless you drive into Kelowna or Penticton. We did not have a problem with this since it was exactly what we wanted, but for those looking for a more lively location this would not fit the bill.

My wife and I wanted to explore this region. This B&B was a perfect home base for the three days we planned on being here. We spent time visiting local towns, quilt shops that were participating in the 'row by row' experience, the wine shops at several vineyards nearby, and a nearby golf course on my birthday. We anticipated a positive experience and are quite satisfied that it happened! We anticipate visiting Canada several more times as we plan other birthday and anniversary outings.
Nice place. Cute courtyard and pool. Nothing fancy but you get what you pay for. I've stayed here a number of times and continue to go back when I am in the Okanagan. Walking distance to an excellent beach, fruit stands.
Cheryle and George were excellent hosts and soon after our arrival, we sat down with them on the deck and enjoyed some wine and cheese. The bed and breakfast overlooks a beautiful valley and Lake Okanagen and Cheryle directed us to the lakeshore and a nice restaurant by the lake. George prepared a wonderful breakfast, served on the deck. I had some back issues and Cheryle set up an appointment with a local chiropractor and I was back to normal again within a day or so.
We would definitely want to stay there again for a few more days.
Curving along the western shore of Lake Okanagan, Summerland’s downtown area is characterized by Old English Tudor buildings and brick sidewalks. Fresh fruit stands, wineries, and golf courses are plentiful in the surrounding area, and the historic Kettle Valley Steam Train remains a popular attraction for tourists.
