Beautiful setting

The food in the restaurant was first class, the grounds around the hotel are beautiful, spring daffodils were everywhere

Faded glory

The most disappointing breakfast presented on not very clean crockery. Could and should be much better.

Dear Baker boy Many thanks for your feedback, I have ensured that the Kitchen are aware of your review. We are investing in the public areas shortly, and with the re-established Kitchen Garden starting to produce crops there are many improvements planned.

Great weekend - but some aspects need addressing

Posted 21-Feb-2017
Very relaxing and beautiful hotel. High quality of room design. However a little tired in places (grubby light carpet and crumbly tile grouting) and public areas could do with refreshing - but not enough to spoil the experience. Dinner was superb - but breakfast not so. Cold food Buffet was way below standard expected at a hotel of this caliber - servery too small (a tiny table) with little available and not being monitored efficiently to replenish. Had to request cheese from kitchen and refill of the one juice jug. Cereals in packets - you get better than this in budget hotels.insufficient staff on first morning -Sunday -to cover the two unconnected dining rooms.

Thank you for your comments, they are much appreciated. I am delighted to read that you enjoyed your dinner. I have passed on your comments regarding Breakfast service, when we have a "full house" we tend to find that most guest which to have breakfast at the same time, and we have limited space on the buffet, the buffet is monitored, however on this occasion timings went awry. We will shortly be re-carpeting the bedroom corridors and stair well, followed by a refurbishment of the Garden Room, this will make a big improvement. Kind Regards Graham Mcg

Food was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful, decor could do with updating in the bedroom and dinning room, dressing gowns in the room were very worn and scruffy not what I expected in such an establishment , what was supposed to be a romantic meal wasent so much due to the banging music from the party next door and the cigarette butts on the floor to the reception door entrance wasent very inviting, I don't often complain but I did expect a bit better.

Nostalgia trip to Suffolk, where I worked for save

Posted 01-Feb-2017
Pros: I've always liked it
Cons: Not a lot
Location: It's close to Kersey and Lavenham, two of the most picturesque villages in Suffolk. And there's a golf course next door.
Hintlesham Hall has lost none of its period charm. The rooms are well appointed, the staff very helpful, and the cuisine is superb. I was amazed to find the car park is now equipped with Tesla charging points.

25th silver anniversary stay

Posted 02-Sep-2016 on Hotels
This is truly a very special hotel! Pure luxury with extremely pleasant and hard working staff. The chef and his food are exemplary! Rooms are well keep and a good size. There's lots of history in the hall its self. It has always been a dream of mine to stay here and it lived up to expectations. Grounds are good with water features and plenty of seating. Highly recommend.
