"Great place to stay"
Great location within walking distance of town centre and all shops, eateries, pubs etc. Bay Horse itself has a great range of ales and drinks with friendly staff and customers. It has music at weekends but we have only stayed midweek so cannot comment on atmosphere at weekends. Only drawback was no food served midweek and 4pm opening time but there are plenty of cafes, pubs that serve good food midweek. Would recommend Cafe Jacqui or The Gainsborough. Rooms at the Bay Horse are basic but have all essentials, kettle, tv, free wi-fi, hair dryer, tea and coffee etc. Our room had a wet room type shower that could have been a bit more powerful but was adequate for our use. New decking area outside is beautiful and would be great to sit out on a nice evening so would definitely try that out next time we stay. They even have an app that you can order your drinks from the decking and they bring them out to you. All in all, great value for money and a great location. Will definitely go again and would recommend to all.

"Wonderful!"
This is a really excellent B&B. Our room was spacious and very well equipped, as was the ensuite bathroom. Our hosts were friendly, welcoming and generous. Their wonderful, 3 acre garden was full of delights and surprises and an unexpected bonus. Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection on offer.

"Nice inn quiet location close to Bury St Edmunds"
Nice pub in a quiet location near to Bury St Edmunds food was of high quality, ales very good, staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are a little too close to the pub and smoking area so can be a little bit noisy and on the day I stayed were extremely hot but apart from that the rooms were adequately comfortable for my trip and had enough facilities such as tea and coffee, overall good.

"Excellent B&B in heart of Countryside"
Spent a very pleasant night. Shared a lovely room with.my sister. We loved the décor and the beds were so comfy and clean. Enjoyed a coffee outside with the sound of a cricket match in the background. Fantastic countryside all around. Had an excellent breakfast and a good chat with Tracey who couldn't be more friendly or helpful. Would definitely return.

"Good place for a short break"
The hosts were friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. Though out the way it suited our purposes and is a quiet retreat. We used the communal sitting room as well as our own room which was comfortable and quiet and you did not feel in the way or that you should not be there..

Pocket Guide: Bed and Breakfast Hotels in Suffolk

With their friendly atmosphere and budget-friendly charges, bed and breakfast accommodation makes a practical option when you stay in Suffolk. Whether you're visiting Suffolk for business and prefer the cosy atmosphere of a B&B to the impersonal character of a chain hotel or you want to stay somewhere a little more unusual during your break, you'll find Bed and Breakfast accommodation in a range of town houses, inns, farms and historic buildings. You could even find yourself staying in an old stable on a large stately home estate!

The Best Bed & Breakfast in Suffolk

With the large port at Felixstowe, popular conference and leisure venues in Ipswich, quaint towns like Lowestoft and Bury St. Edmunds and charming surrounding countryside, lots of people choose to visit Suffolk. To meet this increasing demand from discerning tourists you'll find a wide range of accommodation, including B&Bs. As the name suggests, at a bed and breakfast you'll get a delicious homemade breakfast included in your stay. Many offer a traditional full-English breakfast, complete with bacon, sausages and eggs just how you like them, although healthier options, including granola, cereals and fruit are also offered. The perfect start to a day of work or leisure, if you're staying on a farm you might also be lucky enough to sample some home-grown produce with your meal. Owners of bed and breakfasts are also a mine of local information, and can give you top tips on nearby restaurants to try and enjoyable daytrips in the area.

Peaceful Bed and Breakfast Stays in Suffolk

Whilst bed and breakfast accommodation offers a more unique place to stay, you can still expect many of the comforts and facilities you'd expect from a hotel. Parking is normally included and most rooms will have tea and coffee making facilities, a private bathroom and a TV. There may also be a guests' dining room for breakfast, which as B&Bs are normally much smaller than hotels, will generally be more intimate and quieter. Often located away from major roads and high streets, you can expect a tranquil escape when you book your next Suffolk bed and breakfast stay.
