Lovely country hotel...I thought

Posted 25-Nov-2016
Pros: Cheerful woman at the bar
Cons: Receptionists that understood about relationships
Location: No idea, I was working
It's had a make-over, actually, it's still in the middle of it. And the designer is clearly a man who likes everything minimalist. This hotel is chillingly cold. Physically it was pretty cold but the atmosphere is like ice - everything is plain grey paint. Not a picture in sight. Endless long, closed and narrow corridors with bright lights that spring on when you step into them. The place is soul-less. One set of bedrooms is actually below ground-level. And in the bedrooms, everything has been done at minimum cost. Not a penny has been wasted...and you know it. One picture on blank grey walls. Nice bar and breakfast room. But nothing would induce a return visit.

Fresh & New with a View-

Posted 21-Oct-2016 on Orbitz
Pros: Countryside setting - close to Bury St. Edmunds and their very welcoming staff. NO children allowed in pool area.
Cons: Hotel was heavily booked for a Friday night 40th birthday party - noise carried from rooms and hallways. Expected byus - as we called before booking
We stayed at the All Saints because of the health club / swimming pool. Goal was to relax for a quick weekend break taking in Cambridge & Bury St. Edmunds Lots of restoration work being done to the golf course but the golfers were out - even on a rainy day. Best surprise was the pool & recently opened restaurant. Both were exceptional. The rooms were clean & spacious / family. oriented twin rooms. Price was very inexpensive. I expect it will be much higher but right now a bargain.

Struttura moderna, recente, e ordinatissima, molto pulito. Bel ristorante con vista sul campo da golf.

Property is very "echoey" and on the noisy side. Feels very bland and cold. Even the lobby does not have a warm welcoming feeling.Rooms on the lower level feel like your in"the dungeon". Rooms next to elevator have that very loud lift all day and night. Restaurant does not offer much of a choice in food.

OK but characterless

OK newish hotel. Rooms and service all adequate, hotel newish and rather stark in feel. Good gym and pool, nice quiet setting just a couple of miles outside Bury St Edmunds.
