The check in was 2,30 which the hotel stuck to so rigidly - despite the fact that some rooms must have been ready earlier - that there was a huge queue at 2.30. When we checked in and got to our room it wasn’t ready and we were told it wouldn’t be ready till 3pm. As we were going out we asked for and got another room. This seems an unnecessary waste of everyone’s time and caused dissatisfaction. The lunch in the bar was very mediocre in terms of the food. The salad advertised as with hummus didn’t have any, the pate with ‘bloomer bread’ had sliced white, the chips were cold. The front of house staff were excellent and made up for this as best they could, but we could see we weren’t the only customers they were having to placate.

The Mill has amazing views and the location is just beautiful But the feeling is the place is run on a shoes string The general cleanliness is very poor The windows that give such amazing views could do with a clean and cleaning seems to be a set pattern of just hoovering the same areas. Seats in the dinning area are stained and dirty The staff are however friendly and welcoming

Very comfortable overall. However, disappointed with the temperature of the room on arrival as it had not been aired from the recent heatwave and the internal temperature was 32'C. It took 2-3 hours to fall asleep.

Lovely location, looking over the water meadows. Woken early by the ducks, but was quite amusing to watch them. Close to the town centre, which has some lovely shops and pubs. Room very clean, with a nice coffee machine.
