"Nice hotel next to the Underground Subway"
Nice hotel by the underground subway, so it was easy to travel from there. Food was amazing at the hotel. I would recommend it. Hotel staff was great and check in was quick. I loved that when I entered my room, I was welcomed by the TV. Breakfast was amazing and I loved it! I wished the bed was more comfortable but it was fine. The pillow was very plump but flat to sleep on which I didn't like.

"Decent hotel, but no air conditioning..."
Traditional German hotel with decent accommodations, but no air conditioning of any kind. I was there when it was near 90F (30 Celsius) outside, so after arriving back to an equally warm room and wandering the city all day, it was quite exhausting come back to an equally warm room and difficult to sleep. Windows and a fan are your only option, but if you have a room facing the street (not the inner courtyard), it can be very noisy with the windows open, especially on the weekends since the hotel is near bars and clubs. Even in this day and age many traditional German hotels don't have air conditioning and I understand that, but there's no indication of that for this hotel on Expedia except for a few references buried in the reviews, with even some non-Expedia sites indicating that it does have A/C--it doesn't. I think this would be a perfectly fine hotel in the cooler months when you can keep the windows shut, but not at the height of summer, or if you have serious medical conditions. The location can't be beat though--it's within a 5-10 min walk of the city center and borders the main Fussgängerzone (shopping district).

    Where to Go in Stuttgart

Stuttgart is the sixth major city in Germany and is home to some of the grandest architecture the country has to offer. From the largest complex of theatres in all of Europe, the Stuttgart State Theatre, with its impressive programme of ballet, opera and drama, to the biggest Baroque palace in Germany, Ludwigsburg Palace and Gardens, to the north of Stuttgart, and the Wilhelma Zoo and Botanical Gardens, with its charming family groups of apes, visitors are not short of entertainment and culture. Stuttgart is also the birthplace of the motorcar, and continues as home to some of the motor industry’s major players: Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Daimler.

While the Staatsgallerie, the state art gallery, houses important works by Masters ancient and modern, Stuttgart is also a place of green spaces, with a range of pleasant parks centred on the Schlossgarten, the castle gardens that date back to 1350. Schlossplatz is a mighty space, bordered by breath-taking Baroque architecture, a perfect place to snack and soak in some sun. Königstraße is a great place to shop for distinctively Swabian specialities, as well as the global high street brands.
