Visit Stuttgart with Choice Hotels

The Choice Hotels chain operates over 6,000 hotels worldwide, under the Clarion, Quality Inn and Comfort brands. Quality Inns have a 70-year pedigree of supplying mid- to upper-price accommodation to visitors worldwide, so wherever you go in over 35 countries, you know what to expect.

Choice Hotels has its roots in the States, where its first hotel opened in 1939, and has grown into a global franchise, proud of it innovative history. Choice Hotel’s modern rooms and apartments provide the comforts and amenities a traveller would expect: bathroom with shower and hair dryer, a telephone, locker, minibar, coffee- and tea-making facilities, satellite TV and Sky as well as free high-speed WiFi.

With onsite restaurants and bars that have a good head-nod to local variety, many Clarion, Quality Inn and Comfort hotels also provide visitors with conference rooms, gym, spa and sauna.

What to Do near Stuttgart Airport

Near Stuttgart Airport is the vast International Congress Centre Stuttgart, a conference centre and trade-fair location that can welcome up to 10,000 visitors. Built predominantly of glass, it’s quite a spectacle even if you’re not in town for a convention. Since it opened in 2007, it has worked its way into Germany’s rankings of top ten locations to do business. With Stuttgart a 30-minute bus ride away, visitors have access to the parks and historic squares of the Baden-Württemberg region’s capital. Best known for its automotive heritage as birthplace of the motorcar, Stuttgart remains home of Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, which both have typically impressive museums.

Filderstadt itself has Fildorado, a fun-filled indoor and outdoor swimming centre, which is a pleasant spot to wile away a few hours. Or you could head to Stuttgart’s city centre; Königstraße has some good shopping if you’re looking for a distinctively Swabian souvenir, and you can pick up a designer bargain at one of the upmarket Breuningerland outlet malls in Sindelfingen in the south west and Ludwigsburg to the north of Stuttgart.
