Lovely hotel. Suite was huge as was bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Relaxing bar offered a free welcome drink. The problem was that we booked parking for a car of unknown size as we were renting it the day before. They left it out on the street not in a parking spot which they said was ok as it was Sunday. They promised to park it the next day but it was still there Monday morning. They refused to park it as it had turned out that the car was bigger than they anticipated. They did not reach out to us to tell us they were not parking it. They would have let us get a ticket even though was in their possession and they had the keys. If you want to book parking, tell them it is a larger car when you book the room. Btw it was a bmw 350, not some giant truck. They offered nothing for our inconvenience and no apology for leaving the car on the street in what was obviously not a parking spot. We asked for our keys and took the car to a garage a 15 minute walk away (closest one). This left us with a bad feeling about the hotel which should not have happened.
Positives: The building is beautiful and maintained to a very high standard. My room was spacious and comfortable, and it had all the expected amenities. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
The hotel is excellently located for the National & University Library and only ten minutes' walk from the Cathedral, which makes it very convenient for the city centre as well. Buses to the train station and other parts of town run frequently.
Altogether it is a very pleasant place to be and the price is good for what it offers.
Negatives: Although I had specifically booked a double room, I was given a twin. Since I was travelling on my own, this meant that I had to sleep in a single bed in spite of paying for a double. I had to speak to three members of staff over two days to persuade them that it wasn't right.
Upon check-in, the person at the front desk led me to believe that breakfast was included; then upon check-out I was billed about 50€ extra because it was not (the booking confirmation email did not specify either way).
Overall: still very good - the hotel is very nice indeed - but some members of staff could have been a touch more careful.
Excellent hotel,warm staff.
We were upgraded to a suite which was very big and beautiful. The location was fantastic. For sure take this hotel on our next visit.
This property was way beyond our expectations. The room was huge with a separate room for the kids. It was nicely appointed. The location was a short walk from the tram and a short walk into the main shopping area -maybe 5 minutes across the bridge. It was in a quiet location but so close to everything. The lobby was smaller but it had a bar and eating space to the side. It was decorated in the old European style which was a pleasant change. We had the top floor and unfortunately the elevator only goes to the fourth so we had to carry our luggage up a flight. They did offers to bring them up for us. And the lobby entrance was down some stairs so the same issue applied but there was a small lift we could have used if we wanted. Overall an excellent hotel we will definitely return to later.
The staff was very kindly the breakfast was wonder
We get a regular room,
When we want go to sleep we saw that they didn’t change the sheets and ther was a stains of blood and other things.
I showed them a picture of it and they changed us the room immediately but the filling was horrible.
Nice hotel, well decorated, very clean, friendly staff.
While booking you could read that there were free parking places available. That was unfortunately not the case because “my car was too big”. Had to pay for parking 700m from the hotel.
Good breakfast- not included in the booking though.
Stay at regent comtades during a rainy week in Strasbourg! Hotel staff were really helpful, especially with our two children. Great with helping us with bags, lending of umbrellas, welcome drink. Sanitary norms fully respected and delicious breakfast in a beautiful light airy restaurant with lots of character. Would have liked to stay another night!
I first stayed there with my parents 20 years. When I came back, I was not sure whether it would be one of these former glories hotel. It has kept all of its charm and class over the years, and the property is well maintained and room have a timeless chic vibe to it. Both super central and super quiet.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
It was centrally located, breakfast, good... only put off was our room was in the attic... All in all, good place
The room was clean, large, and modern. Granite countertop in the bathroom, good sized shower, large flat screen TV, desk and in room coffee maker. Thy had a little bar in the lobby, which was nice for a drink at the end of the day. I’d stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay and will stay at this property again when we are in Strasbourg. It is a very quick walk to the Cathedral, restaurants and shopping. Right across the river is an excellent boulangerie! Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable.
The hotel is within walking distance of the historic center, which is the place the Christmas market is located.the staff is always willing to help, the property and the rooms are clean.
So happy I picked this hotel. Classy, welcoming, comfortable, very well furnished. Quiet at night. Walking distance to many fine restaurants and sights.
We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is well appointed and the staff very friendly. The hotel is perfectly located, an easy walk to the Christmas markets but out of the main noise and traffic. Would happily stay here again.
