"Blev lite förvånade när vi anlände, då det var låst överallt. Men det löste sig genom ett telefonsamtal som bidrog till att värden kom och öppnade. Därefter fungerade allt som det skulle. "The house and extensive grounds are very well maintained by the owners. It is very well equipped indeed.Communication with Christiane, the host, was excellent and it was nice to meet her and her husband briefly during our stay.We found it an ideal location to explore the region of Värmland including hiking, visiting art galleries and houses/gardens. We also enjoyed a few local specialty restaurants nearby and found a smokehouse near Karlstad.The canoe enabled us to explore the lake shore especially when conditions are fairly calm heading to Gräsmark and sandy beaches.Our stay met our expectations and exceeded them in many instances."
