Highly recommend
We only stayed for one night but appreciated the bigger bed, the fridge, the bottled water, and the two chairs rather than the standard one chair most hotel rooms provide.

Not sure what the name of the receptionist who worked the 24th and 25th May but he was awesome and did his upmost to make our stay better despite my Mother taking ill. He even went as far as to suggest that we tried the steak house next door for a Bouillon. Thanks epic service

Nice price/comfort ratio
Far from the city center of Luzern, but the hotel provide bus or train ticket. Otherwise, the room are big, clean and comfortable.

Everything was great here- rooms were basic and clean and spacious, bathroom was clean, and it was close to old town Luzern. The parking was a bit scarce but we did manage to get a spot for our stay. We would stay here again.

Too expensive for what it is. Waited 15 minutes at reception for check in. Very poor english and inexistant italian or french in a country where italian and french are official languages.

Cute little hotel
Cute hotel in a bit of an industrial area of Luzerne. Our rooms were tiny but comfortable. Good buffet breakfast. All the employees we spoke with were helpful and professional.

Staff are very nice. The front desk associates were helpful and assisted us with our needs (extra pillows, calling a cab, giving directions...etc). Even one of the ladies who works the kitchen during breakfast was very friendly! She went out of her way to show me where the nearest affordable restaurant is :) Not much around this hotel that’s within walking distance to be honest but if you do need to stay around this area, I would recommend this hotel. Its close to transit that will bring you around Luzern.

Good if willing to stay a little ways from Lucerne
Nice room though restroom not as updated as the rest but still good. Friendly service. Five minute walk to train and bus stations. Some restaurants nearby but not many. Area feels industrial with a number of car dealerships.

Great location right outside Luzern city, easy to get to by train. Llittle better price than city hotels! The room was quiet and comfortable. I would probably not stay here in the heat of summer since no AC but for this time of year it was perfect! Staff was very helpful! This was our 2nd time here!

-bad location. 20 min to city center. -Bad communication at reception after changing rooms. -I had to move the extra bed from one room to another!!!!!! - No Air condition in the room. -you have to put a deposit of 20Fr for Iron and move it to your room by yourself.

A pleasant hotel!
We had comfortable rooms and enjoyed a great breakfast. We got lucky with a free parking spot. We appreciated that the front desk attendant provided us with free train passes to travel to the center of town - the train station is only 5 minutes away. Our room was rather hot. There was little air movement from the windows and the fan was insufficient. We were surprised that breakfast was not included. I am unsure whether that was our mistake when booking but the cost to add it was rather high.

Good budget option
This hotel was fine for a budget option. We had a family room which was nice and spacious. Unfortunately there isnt any aircon in the room just a fan but there are shutters on the windows so if you stay in the summer I'd suggest keeping them shut to try and keep the room cooler. This hotel is just outside the centre but the hotel offer you a travel card so you can use the trains for free to get in and out and the trains are every 15mins so you dont have to wait long for a train.

Great stay in Luzern !
Our stay at Ibis Kriens has been wonderful! Comfortable stay, amazing location with an easy commute to Luzern center. Friendly staff who were willing to give us tips about getting around, specially Florian. Thank you so much, if we come back to Luzern will definitely book and recommended oir friends and family.

We chose Kriens as it was cheaper than staying in Lucerne and were very happy with our decision. We were travelling by train to Lucerne then caught a bus to the hotel on advice from the information centre. Lucerne offers free train and bus travel to visitors staying in local hotel for the duration of your stay, which was very handy with both within working distance from hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very spacious and clean with fantastic mountain views. The hotel was in a very safe and quiet area. Would definitely stay again if lucky enough to go back to Switzerland.

Will choose (another) ibis next time
Overall is great. it has at least 2 ibis's in Luzern, GPS took us to the wrong one, but the one we booked & stayed was not too far away & it has a garage next to it with Hotel's discount - which is really nice, McDonald is across the street. However, taking public-transportation to this one may be tough - but don't really know.

Very nice hotel, in a very nice location!! loved the place!! If only they provide in room tea/coffee, it will be so so good!! overall had fun !!

As a standard of ibis hotels in Switzerland, we unfortunately don't provide any tea/coffee facilities in our rooms, but our guests can barrow kettle from the reception.
