Great location with atmosphere
Haymarket presents an 1920s style and atmosphere, particularly around the bar, and they do it well. It makes for a slightly different and cool experience. It seems to be a favourite of the local crowd, and so it's lively on most nights. However, after 4 days stay, the music kind of got to me and I'd appreciate a bit more variation. The rooms are not large, but have a good standard. Food is everything you can expect (you need to find the warm buffet during breakfast though) They are experimenting with a new service concept which they package as "eco", but really is about cost. That I don't much appreciate, I'd rather they present it for what it is, but they do ask, and you can say no. Seems to slightly confuse their routines though.
