    5/5 Excellent

The characteristics of this hotel is so unique, it has such a historical feel. We loved every minute we stayed here. Everyone is so friendly!

A local hotel well worth stopping at.

We have stayed at this hotel maybe half a dozen times now, this is due to my mother living in Bridge of Allan and we stay whenever we visit. We really like this character filled hotel, some of the bedrooms are dated as they are still updating the bedroom area. However we have always found the rooms to be very comfortable and clean. The downstairs areas are spot on as these have recently had a lot of money spent in them. The young staff are very pleasant, polite, charming and hard working. The food is brilliant, however we only ever have breakfast as we’re always out and about all day. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel if your staying either in the village or even if your just looking for a nice place to stay within the area.

    Poor service

Poorly manned reception, no hairdryer in room took 1hr to have one delivered to my room receptionist working in busy restraint on Saturday night so did not have time to get to my room sooner! (Like I want to stay in my room with wet hair on a Saturday night!) Cooked breakfast brought to my table each morning when I was still eating my cereal, then the waiter looked at me to say where shall I put this place! please check that people have finished before bringing more food!

Lovely place... just a little short of expectation

Nice staff but the decor was in a slightly poor condition, however works were underway to improve this. Lots to do in local area too.
