"3 days stay for Hogmanay"
Booked a little last minute, check in was very smooth and fast. Asked for a double room, had the choice of taking a family room which was nice. Reception was happy to provide a hairdryer on request. The best part were their breakfasts which included a cooked full Scottish breakfast with vegetarian option, as well as buffet style continental options. Great quality foods and nicely presented including yoghurts, ham & cheese, croissants, fruits.

"Lovely hotel for a wedding"
We attended a wedding at the Hydro, and the hotel, staff and food were all excellent. It was a lovely setting, nice building and staff were great. Food at dinner, and then breakfast was all nice. The only down point was the our family room was extremly hot, making for an uncomfortable night for all four of us, despite turning the radiator off.

"wonderful find in Grangemouth"
We booked this place sight unseen around 7pm through Expedia and were very happy to find a clean, roomy space with everything working and in great condition. We had a hard time getting the card key to work and so the lovely desk attendant came over in person (different building) to ensure that we could master the entrance! Quiet night, even though there was a wedding reception next door. Beds were comfortable, bathroom new and lovely. Breakfast buffet was ample, hot and delicious. Tea server made sure we had everything we needed. Check out was a breeze

"Very good value "
This was a great mid priced stay close to Stirling centre. The dinner was very good with a wide choice and staff were very helpful. A machine noise outside the room was disturbing at midnight and at 7am but no idea what is was and hotel staff were puzzled too. One other point was hotel not well signposted on way out of Stirling and I passed it a couple of times.

Scotland is well known for its unique culture and history, and those planning their itineraries for a trip to Scotland should be sure to reserve a hotel in the city of Stirling, which is considered the country’s “heritage capital”. Stirling has the finest concentration of historic buildings in Scotland, capped by its stunning Stirling Castle, which dates from the early 12th Century and has played a major role in events such as the Wars of Scottish Independence.

The nearby town of Falkirk is another important historical area, and its most notable attractions are the ruins of the Roman Empire’s Antonine Wall, which marked their northern border. Other sites include the contemporary Falkirk Wheel, an impressive feat of engineering, and the imposing 15th century fortress, Blackness Castle.
