Pocket Guide: Boutique Hotels Hotels in Stirling and Falkirk

There are few places in the United Kingdom that have played such an important role in the formation of the country as Scotland’s Stirling. Once the site of many of the battles during the Wars of Scottish Independence, and the home to over three centuries of Scottish Monarchs, including Mary Queen of Scots, this city bears that past through the remarkable historical buildings that still stand today, such as Stirling Castle, and the Church of the Holy Rude.

Visitors to the city of Stirling and the town of Falkirk will not only have easy access to a wide range of local sites, but the area’s location makes it easy to visit other major destinations such as Glasgow, Edinburgh, St Andrews, and Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. From the remnants of the Roman Empire’s Antonine Wall to the Old Town of Stirling, a visit to this Central Bet area of Scotland is certain to be rewarding.
