"LOVELY GEM IN STIRLING"
Alison, the warmest, sweetest B and B owner we met in our 8 day stay in Scotland keeps a lovely place carefully and lovingly decorated. She had wonderful suggestions for places to go and eat and could not have been more charming!

"Perfect overnight stay"
Lovely wee B&B. Manager was welcoming, friendly and went out of the way to make sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. Helpfully recommended good places to eat in town and directions (5 mins walk) and provided an excellent cooked breakfast in the morning. Could not recommend enough and would definitely stay again!

"Beautiful grand hotel"
The hotel is very dramatic on top of a hill on the edge of the centre. Hilton quality beds. Slept like a baby. The staff were wonderful. Friendly without being overly intrusive. They matched a web rate when we decided to extend our stay which I obviously appreciated. Pool, sauna, steam room very enjoyable after a long day of driving. We used it the facilities every day of our stay. The breakfast buffet felt a bit like a tourist class hotel in Spain (I hate fried eggs warmed under heat lamps) but it actually was quite nice if you looked past the presentation. We had a truly wonderful evening meal there. The lamb rump was the best I've had in years. The weather was rather dire on the first night but the cocktail bar was lively and well attended. You can have a good time without having to venture into town. Even though the hotel was very busy you could nip off and find a quiet corner in the various lounges as well. Really a wonderful 3 nights there and I would happily visit again.

"Adequate b & b"
Stayed for 2 nights. Staff was nice enough and the room was adequate but nothing special. Location is on a fairly busy road making leaving a window open at night difficult. Breakfast was alright but not to the same level as many other B&B b's that we had stayed at during our trip

Scotland provides visitors to the United Kingdom with a wonderful opportunity to discover a range of stunning historical sites and natural wonders; from its iconic castles like Edinburgh Castle and Stirling Castle, which crown these two wonderous cities, to remote geological structures like the towering cliffs of Cape Wrath or Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in the UK.

Stirling was home to over 300 years of Scottish monarchs, a past that can still be seen in its stately architecture and sites such as the National Wallace Monument, and the Bannockburn Heritage Centre, both paying homage to fighters in the Wars of Scottish Independence.
