"Excellent small hotel nr Trossachs&Loch Lomond "
An excellent small hotel in a rather grand Victorian house on the main road in Callendar. Easy walk into town. Great base for exploring the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Stunning scenery. Recommend going to Lock Katrine, it is beautiful. Loch Lomond was best on its east side, the west side is nearest Glasgow and attracts a lot of people in the summer. The nearby waterfall is worth the walk. The couple who run the hotel are friendly and helpful, and put on the best breakfast we has in a 1000 mile tour. Everything has been thought out, and they have obviously gone to a lot of effort to make the hotel as good as it can possibly be. Highly recommended.

"Perfect place to rest your head"
After a starting our motorbike trip to the highlands we decided to book into a hotel at Stirling, having stayed in one of the other hotels on site I decided to give this one a go and was not disappointed. Very good value, rooms were very basic but spotlessly clean and comfortable. Everything you could want really! Staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was excellent and the quality of the food in the restaurant looked great. Only gripe was the price of the beer. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area on a budget. Its a 40 minute walk into Stirling or theres loads of busses and you can even have use of the fitness facilities. Will stay here again.

"Super Hotel, spoilt by the Showers"
The staff were fantastic. The food out of this world. Rooms comfortable and immaculate but then comes the morning and one wants a shower. TEN Minutes waiting for the hot water to come through. My partner in another room gave up and went for breakfast without a shower. When the hot water came through the pressure was abysmal and being slightly too hot trying to correct it with the cold tap shut it off completely One of the penalties of staying in country hotels is the shower. They are sometimes dreadful electric showers but staying in a hotel run by the likes of Best Western I would expect it to be of a comparable standard to a major hotel; not a pathetic excuse that couldn't throw the water more than a foot.
