"Very well located."
I truly enjoyed my three days in Balloch and this is also true of my stay in Palumbo's. Franco, his wife and all the people who work there were very nice and personable, just great people! Breakfast was included in the lodging price and I the food was very good and there was plenty to eat. Palumbo's is very close to the train stop right at Balloch Road. There is a Co Op food market within a quarter mile of Palumbo's. I am hoping to visit again and will be sure to reserve a room at Palumbo's.

"Perfect place to rest your head"
After a starting our motorbike trip to the highlands we decided to book into a hotel at Stirling, having stayed in one of the other hotels on site I decided to give this one a go and was not disappointed. Very good value, rooms were very basic but spotlessly clean and comfortable. Everything you could want really! Staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was excellent and the quality of the food in the restaurant looked great. Only gripe was the price of the beer. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area on a budget. Its a 40 minute walk into Stirling or theres loads of busses and you can even have use of the fitness facilities. Will stay here again.

"Comfortable night stay"
We stayed here for one night in February on our way back from northern Scotland. After a disastrous stay at a local hotel the week previous on our way out, we were apprehensive to say the least. But it turned out to be a gem of a find. Clean, comfortable and quiet room - what more could you ask for? The bed was comfortable and the breakfast excellent. The hosts were friendly and provided a great service. Evening meal at a local pub 2 minutes walk. If we are up that way again will definitely book here for a second stay.

"Excellent small hotel nr Trossachs&Loch Lomond "
An excellent small hotel in a rather grand Victorian house on the main road in Callendar. Easy walk into town. Great base for exploring the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Stunning scenery. Recommend going to Lock Katrine, it is beautiful. Loch Lomond was best on its east side, the west side is nearest Glasgow and attracts a lot of people in the summer. The nearby waterfall is worth the walk. The couple who run the hotel are friendly and helpful, and put on the best breakfast we has in a 1000 mile tour. Everything has been thought out, and they have obviously gone to a lot of effort to make the hotel as good as it can possibly be. Highly recommended.

"Lovely hotel but they stopped servkng food at 8 "
The hotel was nice and cosy and good value for money, the only thing was that they stopped serving food at 8 which was a bit inconvenient especially for visitors wanting to see surroundings and explore as much as they can before it gets dark. Would still recommend the hotel for a nice break away.

"Trosachs welcome"
We only stayed the one night, but found our welcome friendly and yet were not imposed upon in any way as sometimes happens in small guesthouses. Very clean and a wonderful Scottish breakfast.
