"Breakfast Sunday AM was lacking GRAVY, Biscuits were cold rocks. Oatmeal could stand up and walk away, so thick. Eggs were a warm delight. Sausage was tasty but not worth mouthful of grease, ugh. Room cheerful, clean, with an easy operating thermostat. Soaps, shampoo, etc., easily reached. TV very simple to operate."

"Cute place but when we got there my code did not work and there wasn’t a registration desk or a person working. Luckily, the restaurant chef came and helped get it straightened out by calling someone to get a new code. Did not like the aspect that there was no representative onsite. Was very clean."
Waterfront Cottage on Long Lake

"We stayed at this cottage for 3 weeks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was so nice to sit out on the deck and watch all of the ducks, geese and Mergansers swim by with their babies in tow. We even had a doe and two fawns walk by the cottage and walk out to a small island just off of the beach and then disappear into the trees. The sunrise over Long Lake is spectacular. Lots to explore around the area. Alpena is a neat town with much maritime history. The cottage was clean and well stocked with cooking and kitchen utensils. Ryan was attentive to our needs and checked to see if we needed anything. Again, we enjoyed our stay very much.Andy and Jackie R."

"This hotel was perfect for me and my two kids! Our room was pool side so the location was extremely convenient. The hot tub was actually hot! And the pool and play area was so fun for my kids! Hotel was clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. We hope to come stay again one day! Highly recommend!!"

"We felt very lucky to have found this rental. It has everything we really want in a vacation spot: water, water "toys" and a comfortable place to rest.Tammy is a great host and was very helpful in getting us acclimated to the area. She provided all the local spots we may want to consider, which included a mill tour. Mind you, we took the mill tour and it was the highlight of our trip!Anyway, we are very appreciative of the Sunken Lake Cottage. We look forward to renting it again, if not another within the Hemlock Hills system."

"The property was in a great location, and the lake was very nice and Mitch was very easy to communicate with. The house could use a deep clean and check that all the screens are in so you can open the windows."

"House is just as described, stayed cool even in the 92 degree heat. Only thing I wish the row boat was in the water. Not the easiest putting it in and taking it out. Kyaks were in excellent shape."

"Very cute! Clean, cozy and comfortable had everything we needed! The hot tub was nice, could see the lake from the front porch through trees and other houses but the boat launch was a short walk with an amazing view! Very enjoyable time."
