Located on a quiet holiday park, it is right next to Schild lake and is ideal for those planning a vacation for recreational purposes. Through the lake, you can go to Appingedam, Groningen and the Wadden. You can also use a Canadian canoe for a small fee. You can hire a boat in the adjacent yachting harbour. There's a restaurant 100m away and a supermarket 3 km from here. Golf lovers will find a golf course 1 km away. The home has its own mooring with swimming steps and a garden shower. There are two lovely terraces where you can relax and have a lovely barbecue. There is a sauna you can use for €10/stay. You're allowed to bring 2 pets for €6.50/pet/night and please let your pets sleep downstairs. The train station is 5 km away. Groningen Airport Eelde is 36 km away. Inside there is a infrared sauna and it is remarkable that in the winter months it is a lovely warm house because there is central heating in every room (including the toilet). It is fully equipped and maintained with great care, also there is both in the refrigerator and in the closet a basic stock to find, this is all offered by the House Owner. You will receive a nice welcome gift upon arrival. Wir konnten sie jederzeit kontaktieren, wenn es Fragen zu etwas gab oder wenn etwas nicht funktionierte. Haus an sich gut und komfortabel. Wir haben uns den Blick auf den See etwas besser und besser vorgestellt. Sie können den See nur von einem bestimmten Punkt auf der Terrasse und vom Garten aus sehen. Das Haus liegt leider an einer stark befahrenen Straße, einer Verbindungsstraße zwischen Appingedam und Siddeburen. Es ist schade, dass dies auf den Fotos nicht deutlich zu sehen ist. Außerdem gibt es in der Nähe ein Fitnessstudio, in dem er draußen trainiert hat. Das Coaching war durch geschlossene Fenster zu hören. Hätten wir das gewusst, wäre unsere Wahl nicht dieses Ferienhaus gewesen. Straße und das Fitnesscenter haben wir, Friedenssuchende als sehr störend empfunden! Die Umgebung ist wunderschön. Innerhalb einer Stunde gibt es interessante, kulturelle, historische Orte zu sehen, wie zum Beispiel die befestigten Städte Bourtange und Oude Schans, Museum Slag bij Heiligerlee Apel In unmittelbarer Nähe können Sie schöne Radtouren über Radknotenpunkte wie Rondje Schildmeer im Roegwold, Delfzijl nach Eemshaven unternehmen. ##### Wim En Rita v. Herrlich gemütlich war es! Auch unserer kleinen Tochter (2 Jahre) hat es im Urlaubhaus sehr gut gefallen. Besonders zu erwähnen ist die schöne ruhige Lage direkt am Wasser, die schönen Spazierwege am Schildmeer, das nette Verwalterehepaar und auch die ideale Lage, um einen Tagesausflug nach Groningen zu machen - das lohnt immer einen Besuch. Wir können auch die Seehundaufzuchtsstation in Pieterburen empfehlen. Einziges Manko sind die etwas wackeligen Betten, deren Matratzen auf den Gestellen lose liegen und leider elicht verrutschen.
