Top Staševica Hotel Reviews

Marko Polo Maradiso Hotel by Aminess

8/10 Good

"We had a very pleasant stay at Marko Polo Hotel. Everything was great, and we really enjoyed our time here. The staff were friendly, the hotel was comfortable, and we were very happy with our stay. One small suggestion: it would be even better if an iron and ironing board were available in the room for guests to use. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we would be happy to stay here again!"

TUI BLUE Adriatic Beach - Adults Only - All Inclusive

8/10 Good

"Views were stunning….staff were very friendly, food was great… found things a little crowded around the pool but really wasn’t a problem. Wish we had some tunes around the pool and this was a request from the others we spoke too."

Hotel Tamaris

8/10 Good

"Room was large and awesome. Great price. Front desk was amazing. Bar and restaurant had some rude staff that lied to us and had attitude when just asking for coffee. Food was good. You have to pay to use the beach chairs and umbrellas. Nice location. Wonderful walkway to restaurants and beaches."

Aminess Planet Camping Port9 Holiday Homes

"We really enjoyed our stay. Great location. Easy to get around from here."

Medora Auri Family Beach Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"From September 5th to 15th we vacationed in Croatia—specifically in the town of Podgora—at the lovely Hotel Medora. Our daughter, who lives in California, booked this trip for us. We would like to express our gratitude and warm appreciation to the hotel staff for their care and assistance—especially Zlatan for helping us resolve issues with our car; the reception team for being so attentive and polite regarding our requests; the housekeeping staff for keeping our room spotless; and the restaurant team—the head chef, waiters, and manager—for the incredibly delicious and varied food (hot dishes, cold options, and salads). The desserts were true works of art—everything was incredibly tasty and wholesome. This was our first time vacationing on the Makarska Riviera; The beach was wonderful, featuring crystal-clear seawater, stunning scenery, and excellent, clean facilities. We wish Hotel Medora continued prosperity and business success. We wholeheartedly recommend it as the best holiday hotel on the entire Makarska Riviera coast. ❤️ With sincere regards and respect, Alla’s parents —Janos and Anna."

Bluesun Hotel Neptun

"Lovely place"

Bluesun Holiday Village Afrodita

8/10 Good

"Clean, excellent location, friendly staff. Lovely grounds. Great breakfast but a shame that you had to purchase drinks at dinner and couldn’t bring water in, not provided for free. The dinner quality could also be better."

Aminess Younique Korčula Heritage Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Phenomenal! Exceeded all expectations on every level. We travel the world and this is definitely one of the Top 10 for us. From being picked up at the port to check in to the baggage handling. The room looked like no one had ever stayed in it. Extremely clean and updated. The bed was so comfortable. Our view was magical. The location is perfect. Very walkable. But their people made it the best. Every single encounter was warm and friendly. Breakfast was amazing! Don’t sleep in and miss it!"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Staševica?

Staševica is a small, quiet village, so the best area to stay is generally within the village itself or in the immediate surrounding countryside, depending on your preference for seclusion. For travellers seeking a peaceful retreat, the main part of Staševica offers a genuine rural Croatian experience. You'll find a few local guesthouses and holiday homes scattered amongst olive groves and vineyards. The village church often serves as a central point, and you'll experience the slow pace of local life.Couples looking for a romantic escape might prefer a villa or guesthouse just outside the main village. These often provide more privacy, stunning views of the Neretva Valley, and amenities like private pools.

When is the best time to go to Staševica?

The best time to go to Staševica, Dubrovnik, Croatia is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, September, and early October. These months offer pleasant weather with warm temperatures, ideal for exploring the area without the intense heat and larger crowds of the peak summer months. You'll find it comfortable for walking around Dubrovnik's Old Town or enjoying boat trips to nearby islands. For couples seeking a relaxing break, these periods are perfect. You can enjoy romantic dinners at waterfront restaurants, stroll through the less crowded streets of historic Dubrovnik, and find good value on accommodations without sacrificing excellent service. The sea is also warm enough for swimming during these months.Families travelling with children will also appreciate the shoulder seasons. The milder temperatures are more comfortable for younger ones, and popular attractions are less busy, meaning shorter queues and a more enjoyable experience for everyone.
