Location of the hotel is probably the only good thing about it. I made a reservation months in advance, but got probably the worst room in the entire hotel - the one in the attic. Basically, you can't get out of bed on the left side without bumping your head on a large beam and definitely cannot stay straight by that side of bed. I almost had to crawl into bed every night. The room was spacious with a lot of furniture, but trying to navigate it making sure that I won't hit my head was very annoying.
Besides that, there was a very strange smell in the room during the entire stay. It smelled like something got burned there and the smell went into everything. It made me feel very uncomfortable considering that this was the highest room in the building.
Also, hotel is located in 3 different buildings and one has to cross uncovered yard (rain or shine) to go to the reception, one's room or breakfast room. The location of breakfast room was very strange - way down in the cellar, 30 steps deep by a narrow spiral staircase. It's not what one wants to do the first thing in the morning before and after meal. They could have easily designate spacious room on the ground floor where they have a restaurant open for lunch and dinner instead of pushing people into the cellar to have breakfast.
Bottom line: this place is old, dated and uncomfortable in every way, unlike old, renovated and charming I stayed a week prior couple of streets away.
