We were not able to check in and had to find alternate lodging in the area. My wife said based on the appearance and general impression of the property she would rather sleep in our vehicle. The picture shown is a misrepresentation of the property. We were required to use a phone to contact staff, that call was never returned. No staff in attendance.

Free breakfast had very few options. Parking area was narrow and required some maneuvering to get out of a parking place. Manager is very helpful and easy to get along with.

The managers were a young couple new to the establishment. They had their hands full doing it all themselves, but they were very friendly and accommodating. I would stay again.

Many issues!
There was no one at the desk when we arrived to check in. Was about to leave for another hotel when someone finally showed. Door wasn't closed when we went to our room appearing someone may be in the room. Room door was difficult to lock. Knocked on our door during the night claiming our credit card charge didn't work. I showed them the charge had gone through on my card hours earlier. Advertised free breakfast. There wasn't anything.

Trip to Deer Creek.
Room was adequate for my wife and I. Clean and comfortable. Hotel is quite worn. Most electrical receipts are worn and very loose fitting. Could create a fire hazard. Staff was most delightful.

The staff member that checked us in was great! The hotel could use some major updates. The room we stayed in had a broken security latch on the door to the room and the cold handle in the shower didn’t work. Needless to say we didn’t get to shower. The hotel looks great from the outside but the inside needs work. The room was nice and clean, I will give it that. The room was also pretty quiet.

Of the low rent motels I have stayed at while biking across Minnesota, this was probably the nicest. The room was clean and modern. Everything worked. The town has nothing going for it at all. If you happen to spend the night, by all means avoid the Mexican restaurant near by. It was expensive and downright bad.

The front desk person was friendly and the property was relatively clean. The light in the hall flickered the whole time we were there and was quite annoying! There is a sign on the wall by breakfast area that says, "Deluxe breakfast." The only thing available was a packaged waffle and a couple tiny muffins. Terrible breakfast and deceptive advertisement.

It was decent. Not the best place we have stayed, but not the worst either. If your planning on having a nice breakfast, then you will want to just go across the street to The Spot Cafe. Because there aren't much for food or options. Our options were frozen waffles, 2 different flavors of a pastry, and mini muffins.

Great place to stay in all regards when visiting Minnesota. The staff is very helpful and helped guide me through my situation. I had vehicle trouble when traveling and they have been great in all ways. Highly recommended and definitely would stay here again.

No elevator. Cards for doors deactivate regardless of where you keep them have to keep getting them reactivated. No refridgerator. Only one night stand. On site staff complained from the time we got in until the time we left about being woken up and not getting to eat their dinner.
