Too far from airport Shuttle too expensive

Posted 30-Aug-2017
Having stayed at a different hotel which is on site at the airport I cannot recommend this hotel. The shuttle was late, packed and too expensive. The room was very dirty The elevators were weird and scary. The front desk clerk tried to make me pay even though I had paid online in advance. HOWEVER if you do stay here I have to recommend eating in the Rottisiere restaurant. The chicken dinner was fantastic. The chicken is some sort of Red Tractor Certified and very very good. The included breakfast was also very good with lots of choices and well prepared.

Standard hotel for a emergency stay

Posted 28-Aug-2017
No electrical sockets where you require them ie near the bed side to charge phone or near a mirror to straighten hair. I had to use the front facing camera on my tablet to straighten my hair. Bed was comfy.

Close to Stansted Airport - Good for 1 Night Stay

Posted 17-Aug-2017
Pros: Proximity to Stansted, airport shuttle, free wifi.
Cons: Clarity of transportation between hotel and airport, better restaurant hours, sidewalks in the area to make walking to the hotel possible.
Location: Short shuttle back to the airport for trains, McDonalds and Starbucks within walking distance.
We chose this hotel for it's low price and proximity to the Stansted Airport. We flew in late, and booked a central hotel in London for the next night. This hotel worked perfectly for this requirement. Though we couldn't seem to find the information anywhere online (and it was in fact suggested that we contact the hotel for arrangements), there is an airport shuttle that runs from the airport every 15 and 45 minutes past the hour from 4:30AM-midnight. It's also from the hotel every 00 and 30 minutes past the hour from the hotel. We had hoped to walk to the hotel, but it quickly became evident that this wasn't an option. The shuttle cost was 3 pounds per person, payable to the driver. Check-in was easy, people at the front desk were friendly, the hotel was clean, had air conditioning and a kettle in the room. Check-out was smooth, and after a short wait we were on the shuttle back to the airport to catch a train into London. There is a McDonalds and a Starbucks within walking distance from the hotel (just past the parking lot).

Airport hotel

Posted 17-Aug-2017
Cons: Staff could be more friendly and food has to improve
Location: Handy for the airport
Food was very poor and over priced. They forget to cook one of our meals and had to be reminded, by then everyone else had finished their main course. Chefs salad was a few limp lettuce leave, two old pieces of cucumber and one piece of tomato. New potatoes over cooked and possibly microwaved. Meal was lukewarm. Apparently two new chefs to blame. Breakfast choice was poor. I wouldn't stay here again.
