Nice - Elegant waterfront hotel for getaway

Very nice hotel that is easy to access off highway. Very upscale boutique hotel with all amenities including gym and waterfront restaurant and bar. Special 1 hour morning cruise looking at Belle Haven mansions from water is relaxing and fun to dream...

Not comfortable sleeping

As the first time staying at the Delamar, I have to say I'm disappointed relative to what I've read. The hotel is beautiful as is the room. Having said that, the air conditioning did not work effectively. When we arrived, the AC was off and the heat was on. I switched it to AC and left to our dinner. When we came back, turn down service occurred, but the heat was back on. I changed it back and we went to sleep to only wake up numerous times throughout the night to a warmer and warmer room. It was to the point where we both could hardly sleep. Additionally, our bed was very hard and uncomfortable relative to other hotels that we've stayed at over the years. This was an overnight stay to accommodate us from driving late back to NY as well as a time to enjoy an upscale hotel. We were very disappointed and wouldn't recommend to any of our friends or family to stay at your hotel. Sorry for the negative feedback, but it was truly disappointing. I would like to mention that the quality of our beds is one that has received rave reviews and I am truly sorry you did not have a comfortable sleep. Regarding the air conditioning, our engineering team have conducted a thorough inspection of all rooms and could not find a fault with the system. We replace our entire heating and cooling plant to a brand new state of the art system less than 3 years ago, to ensure consistent reliability. Great high end shopping within walking distance. Overlooking the marina and harbor. Friendly Staff, comfy room and bed.

GREAT HOTEL!

It was a quick overnight getaway for my wife and I. The staff was exceptional. Friendly, informative and helpful. The hotel itself was beautiful with great touches such as port/sherry upon arrival and a wine and cheese hour before dinner. Highly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful, nicely appointed waterfront hotel.

Pros: Rooms, ambiance and service. Spa availability.
Cons: Add one more sitting chair in the room. A few more items in the breakfast would be nice.
Location: On the water, just off the highway, less than an hour from NYC. Great location.
We had a late arrival but were greeted with valet parking, a glass of champagne and a cheerful staff. Just one night, city view (we were just passing through). Nicely appointed room. Big soaking tub. Beautiful restaurant and spa, (next time.), Continental breakfast with great coffee and juicer included. On the harbor. Will definitely come back!

Great stay

Reserved at the last minute so we could visit family member at Greenwich Hospital. Staff very attentive. Details such as the glass of port at check-in and Tesla shuttle back and forth to the hospital were unexpected, but greatly appreciated. Had breakfast and dinner at the attached restaurant, both meals were excellent. Will be our go to hotel in the future when in Southeastern CT. Have never felt so at home when staying at a hotel.
