Not comfortable sleeping
Posted 05-Apr-2016 on Hotels
As the first time staying at the Delamar, I have to say I'm disappointed relative to what I've read. The hotel is beautiful as is the room. Having said that, the air conditioning did not work effectively. When we arrived, the AC was off and the heat was on. I switched it to AC and left to our dinner. When we came back, turn down service occurred, but the heat was back on. I changed it back and we went to sleep to only wake up numerous times throughout the night to a warmer and warmer room. It was to the point where we both could hardly sleep. Additionally, our bed was very hard and uncomfortable relative to other hotels that we've stayed at over the years. This was an overnight stay to accommodate us from driving late back to NY as well as a time to enjoy an upscale hotel. We were very disappointed and wouldn't recommend to any of our friends or family to stay at your hotel. Sorry for the negative feedback, but it was truly disappointing. Hopefully they can solve it for the next guest.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very disappointed and sorry to learn that we did not live up to your expectations, and apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay. We take all feedback very seriously and use this as we strive to continually improve. I would like to mention that the quality of our beds is one that has received rave reviews and I am truly sorry you did not have a comfortable sleep. Regarding the air conditioning, our engineering team have conducted a thorough inspection of all rooms and could not find a fault with the system. We replace our entire heating and cooling plant to a brand new state of the art system less than 3 years ago, to ensure consistent reliability. I hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you to the hotel again so we can redeem our hotel and services to you.
