Staffordshire is located in the west of England and is famous for its rolling countryside, historical ceramic industry and local attractions (such as Alton Towers, the United Kingdom's largest theme park). Although the county doesn't contain any of its own international airports, it is well-served by Birmingham, East Midlands and Manchester Airports and is well connected to the UK's road and rail networks.
You might not expect too many swimming pools in Staffordshire, but there are in fact plenty of hotels that offer both indoor and outdoor pools for your entertainment. Hotels with pools in Staffordshire are remarkably plentiful, with everything from two star hotels through to five star luxury spa hotels giving you the chance to take a dip.
A great example of a Staffordshire hotel with its own pool is the Hilton Burton St Georges Park near Burton upon Trent. This rural spa hotel offers a full service spa, an indoor pool and its own restaurant as well as free WiFi and parking. Other amenities include a spa tub, a bar/lounge area and a health club. Each of The Hilton's 228 rooms include satellite TV, hair dryers, coffee makers, 24 hour room service, iPod docks and free Wi-Fi.
Wychnor Park Country Club is also located close to Burton upon Trent. It offers high quality apartments and its own 18-hole golf course as well as a restaurant, indoor pool, a fitness centre, bar/lounge and spa tub. All of the 44 apartments have their own kitchens with fridges and microwaves as well as free WiFi and digital TV.
The Drayton Manor Hotel, set in stunning English countryside within Drayton Manor Theme Park, is a four star hotel surrounded by more than 280 acres of parklands and lakes. A night in the hotel also includes total access to the park and attractions and, as well as family rooms, romantic 'presidential' rooms and stylish executive rooms are also offered.
Rides at Drayton Manor include rollercoasters, carousels and big wheels, and there's something for people of all ages and levels of bravery. There is also a zoo within the park's grounds which has impressive collections of animals and birds.
