This was our first stay on mainland Malta, having previously visited the small island of Comino 2 years ago. From the minute we got off the plane till we boarded it again a week later, we enjoyed our stay in Malta immensely. although we spent most of our time by the pool we did take a few trips to Sliema, Valletta, and Bugibba to do some shopping, everywhere we went we enjoyed the friendliness of all the staff of shop, cafe's and restaurants used during our stay, We used public transport to get about, buying a multi journey tickets is the best way of doing this and we had an easy to use bus timetable to help us. After a very windy first day, the weather was wall to wall sunshine, a big change from the rain sleet and snow, we left behind in Scotland. There are not many countries I would visit again and again, but Malta is one I will definitely be coming back to, I look forward to our next visit
This is a reasonably comfortable hotel for the area but certainly not 4 star by british standards. About 10 minutes to Bugibba square and St Pauls Bay waterfront. Breakfast buffet was quite good with hot and cold choices but not high quality( watered down fruit juice for example). Bar by pool OK but not inviting and little used at night! Air con in room was nor effective and we reckon this is usual talking to other guests. Hotel, rooms and pool area were kept very clean and pool area is large with plenty of loungers and a spacious pool. Reception well staffed and willing to offer help where needed. Room (202) was massive with pool view (two rooms in one) with double balcony. However, no chairs in room and only cheap plastic chairs on balcony with no tables so not good for leisurely chilling! Things like this make this hotel only adequate in our view.

This was our second visit in two years, we awarded high marks on the first visit but it is even now better. The first time we had a street view room which fully met our needs and expectations. This time we booked a sea view room which far exceeded expectations. The, in house, independently operated, restaurant offers great food at a reasonable prices. WiFi is free but only accessible in the lobby and lounge, this not a deal breaker and some of us want to get away from the world of connectivity and enjoy our lives as couples, families or solo's
Stayed for 3 nights hotel very nice, good facilities, pool lovely, rooms good with a/c that is not too noisy, had a balcony overlooking the pool and sea. Road between hotel and pool a bit noisy. There is nightly entertainment poolside until midnight quite loud but you know it will end at midnight. Food good (only had breakfast) Hotel has a nightclub. There is access to a rocky beach. Qwara is busy with plenty of restaurants. I would recommend this hotel.
Needed a hotel in Malta for a few nights so booked the cheapest available. Was pleasantly surprised. Excellent staff (professional, friendly, knowledgeable), indoor swimming pool, clean rooms. Would definitely use again.

The adjoining resorts of Qawra and Bugibba are set on the large St Paul’s Bay, where St Paul was allegedly shipwrecked. Both resorts were purpose-built in the 1980s. Bugibba has a small square, shops, bars, budget restaurants, nightclubs and a small harbour from which several pleasure boat excursions run. Swimming and water sports take place off the promenade and at lidos. Activities in Qawra tend to be hotel-based.
