Despite being placed in a disabled room unnecessarily and not required, ie the shower room was a wet room, so no bath, it was very pleasant and quiet even on the ground floor! As I had not checked out any reviews before, I assumed there was a health spa/pool/gym in the hotel. It was actually a public health club a few minutes walk away. Breakfast buffet was most adequate and the bacon and sausage surprisingly tasty. Breakfast in the conservatory is very nice but ridiculously hot and sunny! Need better ventilation and roof blinds! I had booked a taxi emailing the hotel through Expedia to make a return journey to a local restaurant, and reception called our room with the pickup ready, but in the taxi they had no booking of our return trip! Fortunately the guy, Will, sorted this for us on the way! Overall a clean modern hotel with a nice garden and bar space. Felt more corporate than romantic.

I payed £40 more to get an upgraded room with queensize bed as it was my anniversary i wanted it to be special, they absolutely ruined it the bed was basically a kingsize so i just wasted my money, whats funny is that when i went to the reception and asked what size the bed was she confirmed it was a kingsize so then i complainedn said i payed extra so she went off spoke to someoneand come back and lied about the bed size to basically shut me u, awful!!, also the spa just looked dirty and basic. Not happy at all

The room was in poor condition ( carpet had lumps in it as seemed not fitted correctly- curtains in poor condition stitching coming undone and just hanging onto the rail - bathroom fittings missing and black mould on windows- damp patch on ceiling also large cracks looking ready to fall - stains on pillows and large scuffs on walls needs a revamp in maintenance and decorating not worth the price I paid very disappointed.

We stay at the hotel once every 5/6 weeks to visit a relative in a care home. Usually book a small double, which is quite cosy, but adequate. On occasions we have been upgraded, which is good. Staff always very pleasant and food good.

We had an amazing stay as always we like to visit this hotel regularly. Kim who works in the restaurant always goes above and beyond for us and she is so friendly and attentive. We will be going back again soon for sure.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food tasted nice with good size portions. Room had a lot of space nice view across the grounds
