Impressive 5 star Hotel, but let down by minor points, most of which could be rectified e.g no room slippers, no bathrobes, no shoe cleaning facility, all of which should be present in a 5 star hotel. Room safe only available if key purchased!!! The bathroom design had the toilet in a corner, and a large person would have to sit sideways. No bidet,or alternative.

This is a nice hotel, and we did enjoy our 7 day stay. However, there was blatant false advertising. If this was an item purchased in a shop I would have returned it for a full refund. Unfortunately there is no "returns" policy for travel/accommodation once the journey has commenced. Firstly, as a family of four our family room was supposed to contain two queen-sized beds. We were given two small doubles, and when we complained we were told that the hotel has no queen-sized beds and two managers readily admitted that this was falsely advertised to us. The hotel solution was a room with one king-sized bed (good) and one sofa (no thanks). So this was never resolved. Secondly, the indoor pool (which is adjacent to the spa) is adorned with "Silence is Golden" signs, and our children were reprimanded on two occasions by hotel staff for breaking the silence. Would anyone's children silently enjoy themselves in a swimming pool? The outdoor pools were too cold, so we gave up. Thirdly, the "beach" was a very uneven concrete slab. Fourthly, the bathroom was very tired and the bed linen was torn and frayed. Finally, the concierge misinformed us on a couple of occasions, and got our car rental requirements wrong (baby seats instead of boosters, and a small map instead of GPS) - their solution was for us to pay three times the price they had quoted to get the correct rental from a different company. The attitude of most staff was certainly not 5 star.
This is a nice hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well maintained and they serve a lovely breakfast. It is located in a central location near the bus stop and there is many bars and restaurants close by.
Stayed here in November 2015 - great little hotel. Chic, clean and very comfortable with great breakfast. Staff very friendly, helpful - just what we wanted. They went the extra mile by sending up a birthday card and champagne to my sister for her birthday - how great is that!
We were really pleasantly suprised at the high standard of this hotel.
The family suite was really comfortable, cleaned twice daily with fresh towels. We have two children under 10 and there was plenty of space, comfortable beds and good storage.
The service was really excellent (from front of house, concierge, restaurant colleagues and room service), especially Kurt, Ramon, Berta, George and Malcom.
The food was especially fantastic. We have stayed in various 5 star hotels all over the world more than once a year for the last 20 and this is up there in our top three for best food!
The weather was cool and rainy in October but the indoor pool and local sites occupied our family. We particularly enjoyed visiting Valletta.
Centred around St Julian’s Bay and St George’s Bay, St Julian’s is Malta’s prime resort. Pretty Spinola Bay (part of St Julian’s Bay) is lined with restaurants that overlook colourful traditional boats and modern yachts. The rest of the bay features large hotels, lidos, and a small pleasure harbour. Immediately inland, Paceville is a dense concentration of nightspots, and includes the Bay Street shopping and leisure complex.
