"Excellent Hotel in excellent location"
The Cavendish Hotel is a very nice hotel in a great location in the St James section of London, just south of Mayfair. Two Underground stations--Green Park and Piccadilly Circus--are both a short walk away. And in fact many spots of interest are very walkable from this hotel, e.g., Trafalgar Square, Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace. I personally walked to and from the London Eye from this hotel. If shopping is key, this hotel is one block from Piccadilly, and both Bond and Regent Streets are also very nearby. The so-called main street of London, Oxford Street, is just blocks north of Piccadilly. And if you're keen on the theater, this hotel sits on the western side of London's theater district.
Beyond the location, the rooms are very well appointed with a nice flat screen TV with an ample selection of channels. There is also an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, safe, and a small fridge. I had a great view looking south toward the London Eye. Parliament and the Shard were also visible from my room.
