good position for my requirements

Posted 09-Mar-2016
Pros: Position
Cons: The food was very ordinary and staff could do with a good wakeup.
Location: Plenty to do within easy walking distance
Desk very helpful but that is where it finished.Rest of staff could do with a good wake up and appeared to lack supervision.

Wedding celebration

Posted 25-Jan-2016
Pros: Nothing to dislike but the staff were the best !
Cons: A sheltered smoking area would be appreciated
Location: Central location to St Helens and easy access to motorways for Liverpool and Manchester.
We stayed for two nights , pre wedding and for the wedding day and reception.i cannot speak too highly of the attention and the help we were given during our stay The staff were wonderful, friendly ,nothing was too much trouble .Our meal with our new French relatives the night before was excellent .The staff worked so hard decorating the room which looked fabulous All our requests ,including provision of tomato soup for my sister ,was met with smiles and efficiency. Our room was comfortable ,clean and had everything we needed I would recommend this hotel particularly for the friendly efficient and helpful staff They are the greatest asset and made our stay a pleasure Thankyou

Will be staying there again!

Breakfast is excellent and only costs £10 so it is best to choose the room only option and pay for breakfast separately. All rooms come with WIFI as standard. The Health club is still undergoing refurbishment despite what it might say in Hotel Reception.

Good value and much improved.

Posted 13-Jan-2016
My family live in St. Helens and I visit from time to time. Stayed at this hotel several years ago and vowed never again. However, based on need and improved reviews decided to give it another try. Very pleasantly surprised. For the price, I found the hotel to be very clean and well managed. the bedrooms and restaurant area are greatly improved, the breakfast was excellent and the staff consistently helpful and friendly. Don't expect luxury and it is true that certain aspects of the hotel are a little tired but they have done a great job of improving it. Well done.

Dirty windows, considering a lot of the outside is glass it needs some attention. Yellow window in our room. Spa very dated, and changing room needed a clean.
