Lindau hotel.
Lovely hotel, excellently located about 20/25 minute walk out of Lindau but close to a bus route. Very helpful and pleasant staff and beautifully set on the side of Lake Konstanz. All in all a great stay.

It was really hard to check in- somehow the fully paid Expedia reservation ( my credit card was charged upon reserving the hotel)) did not show up in their system. I had to prove to the receptionist that i had paid and had to show my reservation. After that all went well. rooms need some improving: no coffee/water/tea in room, mini fridge did not work and the room felt musty because of the lake or maybe because there is no way to have a shower without flooding the non ventilated bathroom ( tub has no curtain, just a half glass door. ). Dinner was included and two nights dinner was fabulous however one night it was absolutely atrocious. Buffet breakfast was very good.

I went there for a business trip. The food was very tasty and fresh. Very friendly staff and they have provided with support where needed. Nice lake view. Great for families and business meeting. I will book again if i am near by. Klasse unterkunft. Danke ans team.

Not that bad, but I will never recommend someone to stay in this hotel. The staff is not such friendly, unsupportive. No air conditioning, and when I asked the receptionist to give me an iron, they refused. Their reason is that it is dangerous, and not safe for the room’s property!! Even when I told them I will take the full responsibility for any damage that could happen, they refused.

Disappointing disaster.
Extremely disappointing. Check in should start at 3PM, I was waiting for my room additional 30 minutes. Room was very old and smells like dump. No WiFi. Staff was lying about issues with WiFi. I left this crap hotel after 45 minutes.

Weekend break
Delightful hotel in a beautiful position directly overlooking Lake Constance. Wonderful spa, but only one sauna was in operation due to COVID-19. Room overlooking the lake was pleasant enough but the beds in most rooms (I’ve stayed in many) are hard and not particularly comfortable. Our bath/shower was so small we could barely fit in it, so not the most comfortable bathing experience. The staff are delightful tho and always helpful and friendly.

Opulent Night at the lake
A lovely beach hotel with a quaint charm. Really friendly service and amazing lake views of the Snow capped mountains. Truly a feeling of old school money. But the shower could use some upgrades. Otherwise really enjoyed this our relaxing time there.

Great Holiday at Bad Schachen
Location is fantastic. The hotel is great and thew views are simply breathtaking. The pool complex and pool are good for couples and families. Lake Constance is great to swim in and surprisingly warm

First of all: the photo is not a true image of the hotel, there is no swimming pool or lawn in front of the hotel-misleading image Location: located on north of Lindau with no public transport- hotel do not offer complimentary shuttle as advised by you taxi ride was 15 euro each way which added to unnecessary costs, specially as we had to commute to Brgenze festival Double room requested we received TINY tween room , there was no way to walk around the room, this spoiled our first impression of the hotel-we manged to upgrade the room for the 2nd night Amenities in the room was restricted Staff: where unhelpful and not informative at all Hotel on the web site looks great- but on location it lacks the service attention to details and care I would not like to go back to this hotel. I am incline and in view of suspecting information proved by expedia, as I book hotel rooms for the business as well please check your information is correct before you print it on your web site

Very busy hotel when we arrived. Room.was not ready and we had to wait which was frustrating after a long day. Beautiful location and easy access to the lake and the pool. Lovely hotel.

Overall good, nice location but it has seen its best times some time ago. The separate historic outdoor pool area is very nice. No A/C did not help amidst this year’s heatwave in Europe.

This is a well run hotel. From check in through to check out, the staff is ready to help. Our room was tastefully decorated and clean; the bed was comfortable with quality linens. There is a beautiful pool and spa facilities. The breakfast was excellent. This hotel may be a little more expensive, but definitely worth it.

Quiet superior hotel at the lake.
Excellent traditional German hospitality. Perfectly located at the shores of Lake Konstanz quiet and in a pictures setting.

Everything was good but there is no air condition when the weather comes hot you can’t sleep well. Also there is no water heater for the tea but it was nice quiet stay in the hotel.

Storied historic hotel
Historic hotel on the Bodensee - short walk of 3km to the marina along a waterfront path. Staff are professional, service is excellent and the outdoor spaces are beautiful. The interior of the hotel is badly in need of updating. Drapes are dated, carpets are soiled and furniture is not antique, but from the 1970's at best. Time for the owners of the hotel to spend some money updating the premises, some new paint, carpet and furniture.

A lucky find - very tranquil
A very nice hotel located on Lake Constance. It was a very lucky find as it was so peaceful and calm. Unfortunately we only had an overnight stay, but would love to go back and stay longer as it was very relaxing. The restaurant was excellent and the surroundings very pleasant.

High class hotel with beautiful lake views
We loved this grand hotel. The reception staff were very professional and friendly. Very much appreciated. We had a fab lake view. Room is dated but that is acceptable. There is a spa etc we didn't use but looks amazing. Room service great - had late lunch/early dinner on balcony. Breakfast superb. Parking onsite.

Top notch but watch out for poor/non-existing WiFi
Top notch on all aspects except the WiFi coverage in room was so poor and frustrating to use that it would have been better to tell me to not even attempt to use it. They told me at checkout time that they plan to improve coverage in that section of the hotel soon. That's great but should have told me that BEFORE I moved into the room.

Feel like royalty when you are a guest!
When booking the trip we were intrigued by the historic charm of the hotel on Expedia. We had no idea that we were about to have the wonderful welcome and amenities provided by this beautiful Hotel. From the moment we walked in and were greeted with a sparkling wine toast until we had to leave the next day we felt like honored guests. We were able to enjoy the beautiful pool and spa, dine in the lovely restaurant, walk the grounds and nearby waterside park. aND the most incredible breakfast (which was included in the price).... Everything was just exceptional in every way possible . Cannot wait to plan our next visit and will stay longer than 1 night😍

Relaxing 2-day stay overlooking Lake Constance.
Relaxing 2-day stay in a pleasant room with lake view on a high floor, but no air conditioning. Very pleasant & helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast, good cuisine (though not cheap). On-site parking. 10min walk to railway station. Jetty directly in front of hotel with one daily ship per direction (i.e. day excursion possible to Switzerland only). Evening excursion to Lindau (where there are plentiful restaurants) possible via ship, and return by train or taxi.

Romantic hotel on beautiful lake Bodensee
We had a very relaxing stay in this beautiful location on the lake, next to a beautiful park for strolling along the lake and the trees. The hotel is large and spacious, and the views of the alps across the lake are stunning. The town of Lindau and the island with the lighthouse are a great nearby diversion. The lobby and patio areas have stunning lake views, and breakfast or lunch on the patio is wonderful. We really enjoyed walking through the neighboring park and relaxing by the lake. The room was very spacious and the facilities were excellent. The service was adequate though not as attentive and friendly as it could be for such a grand hotel.

Classic hotel on lake
Very nice hotel on the lake. Can not fault service or location. Was only quick stopover so can't comment on hotel facilities (e.g. spa/pool). The furnishings in the room are dated, so may not be to everyone's taste, but I felt it added to the charm of the hotel. Would have no hesitation staying again or recommending to others.

Oasis at the Bodensee
This beautiful hotel is a traveler's best kept secret. Not well know to foreigners, it is a grand hotel of times past. So charming and I did not want to leave!

Old fashioned charm
We stayed in this hotel for OutDoor in Friedrichshafen, travel time to the Messe c.30 minutes. Breakfasted on the terrace overlooking the lake every morning Breakfast was limited to the usual continental affair, however there was a fabulous range of loose leaf teas available, very unusual in Germany and a welcome sight. Aside from the tea, breakfast could have been better with more attentive replenishment from staff and a wider range of goods. Dinner was interesting in the combinations served (mango, buffalo mozzerella and tomato, anyone?) and the portion sizes reasonable, however we only ate in the hotel twice out of desperation, there are better eateries around. Waiting staff were very attentive, spoke great English and constantly went the extra mile. The room was scrupulously clean, and a good size. Shutters were a welcome addition to the windows in 35 degree heat. My 6'6" colleague was also grateful for the sizeable beds, bigger than we usually experience. Sadly, time didn't allow for a trip to the pool, a bag of towels for which was provided in the room, a nice touch along with robes. All in, I'd go back but would definitely plan meals out.

Breakfast was good. Rooms are small and nothing special. Bathrooms are small and taking a shower completely floods them. If you are used to AC, do not stay there when it's above 80F. The nights were unbearable even with a fan. We would not come back unless the whole place was renovated.
