This property is no longer a Super 8 hotel it is a college dorm. And when i called expedia to find out what was going on they had no answers and saud sirry to me at midnight 4 hrs from home expecting to have a place to sleep

Do not stay here!
Check in was very slow and they did not have the room we reserved. We reserved a queen and got 2 doubles. There are no amenities at this “hotel”. The room was not properly cleaned or even cleaned at all. Our key card did not work to even let us into the hotel when we returned a little after midnight. We had to wait for the attendant to let us in. He didn’t even apologize for our inconvenience and just admitted that it is a known problem that they have no intention of fixing.

Fine except for covid measures
Our stay was good except for the fact that they were unable to provide breakfast due to covid. The wifi was spotty at times but for the most part ok.

Poor internet and lots of hallway traffic at 3am
Unless your not more than a few doors down from the office end the internet service is horrible. If you like heavy traffic at all hours of the night then you won't like this place.

Spoiled milk!
TV remote did not work, room phone did not work and in the morning for breakfast the milk was spoiled and chunky! My daughter ate it, not knowing it was spoiled and the front desk clerk didn’t seem to care. He kept asking my husband what he wanted him to do. Not sure if the milk issue was ever fixed.

I didn’t like people trying to get into my room at 5am and the staff give them the wrong key and I have to wake up to someone breaking into my room and got a phone call at 5am from the front dask that’s not what I wanted to wake up from

Had trouble getting assigned to my room. Manager was giving me a bad hassle over a reservation made through Expedia a full month ahead of time. I had my paperwork and Expedia that was printed from my computer. Price was stated. It said that Expedia verified my reservation with the property. But upon check-in ..... manager said that price was $19 off. Refused to give me my reserved room !!!!!!! I kept telling her .... I have my papers right here. No .... we have been having trouble with Expedia. I was forced to call Expedia to find ouf why my reservation was in error. .... got put on hold. Then Expedia called the manager, and they were at odds in coming to a decusion, just as I was. About half hour later, the manager gave me a room, saying no sense in me sitting there, waiting for Expedia to call back again !!!!!!! It was a hassle !!!!!! Total hassle !!!!!! Getting assigned to my room that was reserved a full month ahead of time. 9/15/2019 reservation made. 10/15/2019 We arrived to stay for 1 night. Poor attitude of the Super 8 manager !!!!!!!!

The continental breakfast offering was just OK, pretty basic, and no bananas which is a typical staple for breakfast, Overall, the Super 8 Steubenville was a pretty good deal for the price.

Room was small but bed was comfortable. Air-conditioning refrigerator working great. Freezer compartment in fridge was wonderful. People were super friendly and food was sufficient. Gluten-free diets have plenty selection for breakfast.

You only have one handicap room. It would be nice if there were a few rooms with just some bars in the bathroom or a bath chair available. I can't believe tht doing something like that would be too expensive. Staff were all very nice.

Location next to Franciscan University is excellent. Renovated room (a queen) was nicely done. The mattress was too soft and folded to the middle. Bathroom and is still very basic and cheaply updated. The towel rack broke off while we were there. The plumbing under the sink is finished off with unpainted wood, something you notice when you take a bath. :) The tub surround's caulking could be cleaned better. The breakfast is basic. Nothing to write home about. BUT, that said, it's still a good value. It would just be nice if they paid better attention to these details.
