The Greenbank is in a really nice location just on the edge of town and the harbour. My room was very nice, perfectly clean (apart from the shower which could have been a little better) and had a very comfortable bed. Every single staff member was extremely polite, friendly and helpful. And finally the food was lovely. Thank you, see you again soon..

A really lovely stay, staff were excellent in all areas and helped to make it a very special stay. Really tasty breakfast too - great variety and beautiful setting.

The reception staff were brilliant. Warm and purposeful. Welcoming. Interested in us as visitors. Process of signing in was easy and car parking made simple. A bottle of fizz in our room as a goodwill token to celebrate our silver wedding was a most pleasant and heart warming surprise. Just a detail, but big moments are made up of those little details. The room was spacious with a phenomenal view across the harbour. It was generously supplied with a range of coffees and teas, and drinking chocolate! Biscuits and water replenished daily. A working fridge. Tv and great free Wi-Fi. Bathroom was immaculate and supplied with copious amounts of towels, plus bathrobes and ‘slippers’ us both. Staff around the hotel were always friendly and helpful. A special dinner was just that…special. Great food. Good choice of wines. Formal dining with harbour views as a backdrop. Downstairs ‘pub’ was just great. All in all a highly enjoyable three day break. Yes the Greenbank in some aspects shows its age, but never in the key aspects of comfort and care, so we didn’t care. The highlights for us above all were the people who looked after us. Brilliant. Our second visit will surely see a third sometime in the future.

Lovely hotel, stylish, good service in bar and restaurant. The only issue we had was with the quality of the room cleaning service, as on one of the days the soiled toilet was left as is, and on another day the two flannels were replaced with an extra bath mat… We would have gladly cleaned up after ourselves if a toilet brush had been provided. My husband had to use tissue to clean the bowl by hand, which is not at all ideal, so the one thing that would have made it perfect would have been a toilet brush! However apart from this we had a lovely stay, great room with the most beautiful view. Thanks for having us.

We were looking for a short break away from the rat race and Greenbank fitted the bill admirably. We had a harbour-view room which was very well appointed and provided plenty to look at despite the weather.

The staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. The views of the bay offer endless visual entertainment. The food was outstanding, especially the Valentines menu.

Had wonderful night stay and excellent food , great service lovely atmosphere Little disappointed in the door key didn’t work several times having to walk back from end of the hotel hotel porter managed to get us to our room apart from that great reception and warm welcome- Food was very good and would definitely recommend eating here Only grip is the parking on the roads if spaces are full check before leaving bit of dangerous road outside

We werre greeted at reception with a friendly member of staff. The room was amazing and clean, beautiful harbour view , food very tasty and well presented and all the staff were very attentive. Very relaxing day.

Beautiful Stay!
We had an amazing stay for my boyfriend’s birthday, we were upgraded room which overlooked the water 😍 and a bottle on ice on arrival! Lovely stay with our dog, very well catered for including a doggie welcome box!

This property has excellent views over the harbor and is walk-able to the town. The beds are very comfy and delivered a great night sleep after a long day traveling. Great facilities in the room tea, coffee, hot chocolate and home made short bread.
