The entire property was under construction. All you heard was construction site noises, banging on metal and tractors outside with beeping. Double check they aren’t doing construction before you go. The pool bar was closed, staff didn’t come out till like 10-11am to start taking orders. All they did for us was refund the 20$ resort fee. 5am construction wake up times

First off let me preface this review by saying we had a great time. The property was fantastic, the food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The thing I was not happy about was the beach was closed. Now I understand that they are trying to reclaim the beach because of the hurricane but this should have been noted on the website that there is a possibility the beach would be closed. They tried their best with providing a shuttle but who wants to do that? On the website they only stated there would be construction and some noise but nothing on there that states the beach can possibly be closed so you will need to be shuttled back and forth to another area and you need to pay for your umbrellas, etc. Needless to say, I probably would have considered another property if we were forewarned. We mostly just stayed by the pool and listened to the bulldozers working all day. No biggie, we had fun either way!

The property is beautiful and so is the area around. Unfortunately the beach was being worked on and there were construction trucks working the whole time we were there. This made it difficult to hang out by the pool (noise and beeping) and the beach at the hotel was closed. It would have been good if the hotel had notified us prior to our arrival of this issue and given us a chance to cancel. Very disappointing as we could have gone anywhere else.

I love everything about this place. The customer service was amazing, we were early and able to valet park and enjoy the hotel amenities before our room was ready. I loved that, the only downside is the beach access was closed, it was loud machinery all day and night. Other than that we had an amazing stay. The hotel did shuttle and back and forth to the beach. Overall great stay.

Picked this property for beach access. We did not get the room we reserved. The hotel blamed Expedia. They said they were full up and could not change rooms. BEACH CLOSED FOR CONSTRUCTION! NO BEACH ACCESS AND NOISY. Noise continued all day and night. We were not offered a discount for the wrong room. We should have been given the opportunity to cancel, which i would have done! NOT HAPPY!

I paid extra for the ocean view balcony room on Expedia in advance. I received a regular room with no balcony and no ocean view. The hotel was overbooked and unable to give a refund for the difference because I booked with Expedia.

Rented an oceanfront hotel with Balcony. Paid for a more expensive hotel right on the beach for easier access. Guess what , the beach was closed. Still had to paid the same. Arrived to hotel and was surprised when they said I needed to pay an additional $670.00 . $36.00 per day for parking at the expensive hotel I already paid for. Valet parking only. Every time I needed my car I had to tip. I tipped $5 two or three times a day and even got a text telling me to be sure and tip each time they had to retrieve my car , but the text had an amount of $7.00. The guy checking me in was not a friendly person. The rest of the staff was awesome. Very polite. If you stay at the Embassy suite hotel be prepared for check in. When they put a hold on your card they don’t just put a hold on it , they actually draw the money out. $400 in case you tear up the room. They did put it back into my account after checkout. Don’t forget as you checkout you also have to pay $97 fee. I probably will refuse to ever stay at this hotel again. $1300 for four nights and a surprise $670 more upon check in. The hotels nice but the Beach was closed . We had to take a shuttle to another beach. Not to mention the construction that was going on at this beach. All night long heavy equipment beeping non stop for many hours. When I rented the room it said on the website construction on beach would be finished weeks before. It was not and I had no idea until I drove 10 hours for this vacation.

Te property itself is beautiful. However beach refurbishment was going on which they did let us know about a head of time. However, the outside bar was closed and being renovated. You couldn’t even lie by the pool and relax without hearing banging on metal for more than an hour. This was not disclosed to us beforehand. When I told them at checkout the response was we didn’t know either. Wow ok then. Room was never cleaned other than bed made once and trashcans emptied once. Floor was never cleaned or the shower our entire stay. Had to find room towels on two different occasions. Called front desk on one of these occasions and said they would bring some right up. 2 plus hours later we came home after dinner and they were finally left. Too late, I had already found one of the cleaning crew and got towels myself from them. On a good note..breakfast was fantastic and I loved Starbucks being there too.
