Place to sleep

Pros: Proximity to where I was going and staff was pleasant.
Cons: Room cleanliness, Internet, coffee maker in room.
Was tolerable for the price. Internet was down, so they could not bill, I could not access my email or news. A little disappointing.

Pros: Has a great location - close to the interstate, gas station, restaurants, grocery store.
Cons: They need to close and make much-needed renovations.
Location: There is a great hibachi grill and sushi restaurant close by which we always like when we are in town there.
Have stayed at this hotel in the past and was always pleased. This time we found the place in disrepair, seems to be in the middle of a renovation. There were screens falling off windows, curtains tied in knots in some rooms. Appears that only rooms on the first floor were usable. The rooms have a kitchenette which is what we were looking forward to useing - no kitchen supplies what-so-ever, not even a glass to drink water. Smoke detector chirping continually in the first room they checked us into. WiFi extremely slow, almost unusable. We didnt even unpack our bag. The front desk clerk was very nice and understanding - she helped with our check-out and did not charge us as we were only there about 10 minutes. Extended Stay should know what condition this facility is in - it is unacceptable.

Never Again

This was the #1 worst hotel stay experience I've ever had, particularly for the price. Due to limited availability in the area, we paid nearly twice the normal cost. The carpet was dirty, the blankets on the bed were sheet-thin, and the room lacked such basic amenities as a coffee maker and hair dryer. The bathroom counter and tub were stained and dingy, paint was cracked and peeling around the shower fixture, the water pressure was so hard it was painful, and the sink would not drain. The walls were paper thin and the A/C fan did not work, so we had to listen to the outside door slam all night and early morning, and it sounded like an elephant was stomping around in the room above us. Just a horrible experience all the way around. I will NEVER stay at an Extended Stay location again.

Not impressed and will not return on future trips

The location of the hotel is great. The helpfulness of the staff was okay. Everything else was below my expectations. The cleanliness of the hotel was subpar at best. The room was in disrepair...couldn't open dresser drawers because they would fall out. Refused to sit on desk chair because it was disgusting. The lack of a coffee pot or basic utensils, cups, plates, or pans defeated the purpose of my staying in an extended stay type of hotel to prepare food in my room instead of eating out. So, the room was not great. However, the part that was most uncomfortable was the people loitering outside of the front of the hotel. I was unfortunate enough to be propositioned and then to overhear a conversation where a price was being negotiated for a man to spend the night with a woman. NOT acceptable or appropriate in a hotel that should be family friendly. I would never suggest this hotel to anyone.

Room was dirtyping and the TV didn't work. Internet didn't work. Breakfast was a joke. Really expected a lot better for the price.

Aside from a mixup at the very start (which was handled professionally, promptly, and personably) everything was perfect. No undesired knocking or phone calls, everything was clean, and quick delivery of requests from the available supplies. Also, they will provide things like dishes and kitchen supplies.

Disappointed in Springfield

I was traveling late night/early morning. Not being familiar with the area, I called Hotels.com and asked for help booking a clean, safe hotel next to I44. The operator asked me the price range that I wanted, and told me everything in that price range was already booked. He booked Extended Stay America for me and assured me it was next to the interstate and my fee was nonrefundable once booked. It was sooooo far from the interstate. I recognized many of the hotels that I had seen on the Hotels.com web page that were nice, still available, and cheaper than the one he reserved for me. I drove and drove and drove way after midnight following my GPS instructions to locate the one he booked. Although it was supposed to be a nonsmoking hotel, it was quite obvious that the hotel and the room had smokers in it. The carpet was NASTY, damp (as though the toilet had overflowed onto it) and had a VERY musty odor. When I logged onto the hotel's web page to get on the internet, the price posted on their login page for rooms was $20 cheaper than what I had paid. When I called the operator at Hotels.com to complain, I was told I could not get a refund because I had already checked into the hotel. Needless to say, I was not happy with my experience. By this time, it was already almost 2am. I spent the rest of the night, but was out of there as early as possible the next morning. I will not be staying at this hotel again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

Great if you like sleeping in an ashtray

The most disgusting place I have ever stayed at. Every inch of this place stunk like a dirty ashtray. There were nicotine stains literally dripping down the walls of our room. Totally disgusting! Had to give 1 star because zero is not an option
