Charged extra $27 for dog at check in
When I went to check in, the employee told me there was an extra $27 fee for our dog. This fee was not disclosed at the time the reservation was made. She said the owner of the hotel doesn’t mention it on hotels.com because so few hotels in Springfield take dogs so they can charge whatever they want at check in and people will have to pay it. I have stayed here before and the fee was much less. I’ll never stay here again for this reason, and because the public areas of the hotel are very dirty.

Tempted to have an EXTENDED STAY
I believe it was sound proof - very busy but quiet. Room had full size refrigerator with freeze, Actual small kitchen with electric range and sink. Need to bring your own cookware/utensils. Also a microwave. Would stay there again.

Helpful friendly night staff. Easy parking and access to room. Clean, comfortable room with limited amenities. Easy to control heating/air-conditioner. It appears this area considers "Breakfast" one coffee urn one hot water urn and small muffins and or granola bars, with no tables, chairs, or even counter space to place your items on.

Lance, who checked me in, was excellent. He should be considered a true travel industry professional. The room surprised me with no supplies that one would expect in an long-term property. Not even a plate, fork or anything. One complaint is the towels were thin and tiny. But for my purposes it worked out ok.

This was the worst service I have EVER received at a hotel. Upon arrival, I was told our room and several others, had water damage. During the process to figure out our room, which I prepaid for, the front desk employee, Ambrose, was rude, cursing, refusing to let me speak to management or provide me with their information, and escalated to threatening me and ultimately abandoning the desk and refusing to give us the rooms she originally said she could accommodate us with. The police had to be called so we could initiate a refund. During this process, the hotel has a recording all of it unfolding. It was very dirty in the lobby and we were told they do not offer a full breakfast, which is in the description, only breakfast bars. I would not recommend this property to my worst enemy.

The room I stayed in smelled like cheap perfume. I had to open the windows to try to air the room out. When I tried to close the window one of them would not shut. When I was looking for a parking spot I drive around the back of the property, which was not well lit, and witnessed someone in the act of shooting up drugs of some sort. There was no water pressure and the hot water went in and out.

This is a bad chain of hotels.
Booked through hotels.com ($125 on a Wednesday night). Reception had us wait another 20 minutes for our room “so it could get through the system”. No ice machine. Bathrooms used this material with a finish that looks like boogers are smeared all over it. I suspect they use this is so cleaning gets to be less than thorough. Beds were springy. On top of that, I’ve got an additional $103 charge from the hotel itself on my card. Called, no manager on duty to help me out. Stayed in another one of these (total coincidence) the next night and it was also terrible.

Property is very old and needs upgrades. Bathroom fixtures are very old and sad. Had to change rooms once because bathroom sink would not drain due to being old and broken. Room was clean but remind me of an inner city rental.

The property was clean and there is no carpet do is nice for pet friendly but the sheets were so HARD i thought i was going to run skin off! Not the best for sleeping with an 8 month old

The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful. The room was very large. We were disappointed in the breakfast that was offered. It was only granola bars, muffins and oatmeal. There was no fruit or even cereal. We were also disappointed in the air conditioning. The temperature in our room was very inconsistent and the humidity was awful. Our towels didn't dry from one day to the next.
