Lower duplex apartment, centrally located. Beautifully furnished, 1970s feel.

This apartment is the lower level of a 1939 Duplex. The Duplex shares an acre of land with a house originally built in 1859, now a tri-plex. We live in the upper unit of the tri-plex. This apartment is set up to look like you've walked into a 1970s early 80s home. Decorating was alot of fun...we are regulars at Goodwill. :)
Have a working atari, super nintendo, vhs player, 8 track tape player - and other older technology. Oh and a kind of hidden clubhouse area with blacklights and blacklight posters. :)
We poured our hearts into this apartment, we love it and have loved sharing it with people since 2018. But, we are very strict about the no party/no outside visitors without prior approval policy. There is a calm and tranquil environment here.
There will always be projects going on in and around the yard, always a bit of controlled chaos. Our yard is all about natural landscaping, pollinator plants and gardening. Elena works from home and Justin’s home is the work! We have 10 very friendly semi-free ranging chickens in the backyard. 2 cats: Zoro, Mr Z Kitty and Sir Oliver Butterscotch, the Belligerent. We also have 2 65 pound dogs; EmmaJane NaughtyPants and Link Underfoot. They are friendly in your face kind of dogs. We do our best to keep them away from guests, but they are around. We hope you come stay with us and don’t forget your slippers!

A great place
We stayed in the blast from the blast apartment. And it really was. Each room featured items from the late 60's through the 90's. ie a cb radio, a TV in a console, 45 rpm records, painting by number pictures, a psychedelic hide out. It is just fun. The front yard/garden is wild and beautiful. The kitchen has modern appliances. I can't say enough about this place.

This is a great place to stay. It's very clean and there was alot of effort put into decorating. We especially loved the secret reading loft. The hosts were friendly and responded quickly to my questions. We would definitely stay here again!

A fantastic experience
My daughter and I stayed in this property and just loved it. The decor is amazing. It’s a great neighborhood. Close to everything. The property manager was extremely friendly. Everything was clean and perfect. All the amenities were spot on. We hope to visit again.

Awesome!
Elena and Justin were so accommodating and helpful! The house is clean and well-decorated -- truly a Blast from the Past that we enjoyed! There was a surprise ice storm during our stay and the property was iced and we felt safe. They were accommodating to our extended stay request, and it is so appreciated that they do ALL of the cleaning!! I would recommend this spot to other visitors of Springfield!

Fun duplex
This is a fun 1960's house. We loved all the fun things to look at and I couldn't believe how clean you kept all that! The space was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We cooked big breakfasts every morning and the pots, pans, utensils and dishes were top quality. I am dismayed that for some reason I am unable to give all 5 star reviews. I keep clicking all the stars and they keep unclicking themselves.

Insanely Cool Space
It's hard to describe the attention to detail in this incredibly cool space. It was so well done in 70's decor and seemingly every spec of it was fashioned from this era. It was a big space, ample room, and very comfortable. It was also spotless and just had a great feel to it. We loved our time there. The location was amazing, on a nice quiet street very close to the Lincoln museum and other attractions.

It was like stepping back to the 70s Cozy and tastefully decorated. The house was located in a very quiet neighborhood and close to everything. They have a immense library of DVD, videos and just any game you may want to play. I would definitely recommend this location
