We were able to have a campfire with s'mores every evening, which was a hit with the kids. Beds were comfortable and the check in and out was easy. The host was responsive to my couple questions and the accommodations couldn't have been better. The lake itself was not the best fit for our family as the water was low with a muck bottom. We weren't able to swim or do other water things; but that is completely out of the host's hands, and we found other things to do, including taking the kids to the local wilderness walk. The property sits on a very private location and the views of the lake during the day and millions of stars at night were breathtaking! It had everthing we needed. The dock needs to be 15 feet longer. There are no catchable fish in the lake. Its only 6 feet deep. It was easy access to Hayward and all the surounding hiking trails. Everything we needed was within a 20 minute or less drive for golf and restaurants. The place is outside Hayward on Devil Lake. A very quiet beautiful setting. The only wish was that the water level was slightly higher so we could have gone canoeing, but not a big deal unless you're only intending to do water sports. The fire pit area was great as was the house itself. ##### Erin W.
