Travelled with a 2yo and 4yo so we were put in the apartments, which were really cool, but a little small to be with family. Still this is to be expected if staying in the Palace.
We were told to only spend one day in Split (after 5 in Hvar and before 3 in Plitvice Lakes), but we should have done 2 days just to soak it all in, shop, drink and eat.
If arriving by ferry, call ahead and have them meet you at the ferry.
Breakfast was good.

From the moment we arrived Andrija and the other wonderful hotel staff made us feel at home in this magnificently located restored palace in the heart of old town Split. Wonderful breakfast, great restaurant recommendations and personalized pick up service at boat landing. Perfect!
The Cornaro Hotel is located in the heart of Split. It is comfortable, clean and modern. The hotel's location allows for seeing the best sights in Split, as well as easy access to shops and restaurants. It is an ideal location for seeing all the magnificent sights in Split, and the hotel offers parking, which can be a problem in many cities in Croatia.
The hotel staff were all really friendly and helpful.
The Hotel is located around 15 mins from split old town, where you can get ferry trips.
Split is a really interesting area to visit and has a good balance of history and the ability to travel and visit other islands.
Very friendly and helpful desk staff. We spent one night and left at 4am for the airport. At check in they offered to have the breakfast which was included in our rate at the front desk at our departure in to go bags. Clean, Efficient.
Really nice hotel on the outskirts of Split. Ate in both hotel restaurants, food a little pricey (which you would expect) but really nice, lovely views across the sea. Staff were attentive and friendly at all times. Also used the hotel Spa which was peaceful and clean, had a very good massage in there. Overall, would recommend to other travellers
Commanding a splendid coastal site, its palm-lined seafront promenade backed by rugged mountains, Split is Croatia’s second city after Zagreb. The UNESCO-listed old town lies within the walls of Emperor Diocletian’s 3rd-century Roman palace. The pedestrian-only, marble-paved streets and piazzas are filled with medieval stone buildings, cafes and boutiques. Daily ferries serve the nearby islands and many yacht charter companies are based here.
