As good as ever. Great rooms, Spotless and comfortable. An elegant hotel. They've had an ongoing problem with not having a chef but that's about to change they tell me. Remains my go to hotel for Spa

Poor experience, and poor value.
This hotel unfairly tries to extract money from you at every opportunity. Firstly, they advertise they they have an indoor pool, but they don’t mention that it costs €17 per person per day to use it, though this does include the sauna and hamman. If you don’t have inclusive breakfast it costs a huge €21 per person per day. There is a room service “cool” breakfast available at €7 per person plus a €7 tray charge. This seems reasonable until you go to check out and they charge you the €21 on top. This is not mentioned on the in-room breakfast menu card, so breakfast for two people ended up costing an outrageous €63, which is very poor value. The rooms are tired, and there was a rip in the net curtain and stains on the pillow, plus a near rip in the duvet cover and a cracked sink in the bathroom. As others have mentioned, even though we booked a room with a king size bed the booking was made with 2 single beds. Fortunately the hotel had spare available king rooms. Half of the car park was taped off for no apparent reason, leaving it short of spaces once all guests had arrived. Service is patchy. Some staff were good, but others hopeless. All in all, not a good experience. We won’t be going back!

Restaurant was closed due to lack of having a chef! Breakfast was below average.. breakfast hot food was not hot.. coffee machine not working properly which caused a long line just for coffee.. the kettle in room was dirty, unable to use.. the bar was not attended, so not able to offer a drink to my friends.. and room was pretty dusty

Very disappointing experience - never again! Unfriendly, incompetent staff, lousy service and hidden information about extra fees for the wellness/pool and gym. No additional towels provided. Not children/family friendly: restricted pool times (in the late evening and early morning only) and full price for the breakfast for the little ones (21 EUR) - and very dangerous esp. for babies: the windows in our room were very low but had no railings and could only be opened completely-unbelievable!!!

Overall a very disappointing stay, especially given the Radisson Blu name. Upon check in, we were notified the hotel restaurant was closed, without prior warning of this. However, other guests were served food from the kitchens. Upon enquiring about this, only then were we informed food could be available upon request. Having not been told about this, it was very frustrating, especially considering the limited options for good quality, affordable restaurants in Spa. Additionally, the air conditioning in our room did not function and made the evenings very uncomfortable. Finally, the service from the bar staff was poor. A staff member was unable to make a hot chocolate as the milk steamer was broken. This is disappointing, especially since coffee machines were available in the bar which dispensed hot milk… The experience of the hotel didn’t meet my expectations unfortunately and I would not recommend this to fellow travellers

That is why it was closed but all of our customers must be informed one week before the arrival and I apologize you were not.We are actually facing an air conditioning problem but our technician is working on it the best as he can. Very disappointing welcome and receptionist!
I booked this hotel for celebrating my partner's birthday with a dinner and added this note to my reservation. When we arrived, the receptionist was not at his place(this was the case all the time on that day, he was not presenting at the reception but backoffice), we waited there for some time. When he arrived, we were not so welcomed, he seemed as if he was forced to do his job. We were not accepted to the garden restaurant stating that it is full, although I said that I made this reservation for this purpose only and for a birthday occasion, he did not want to find a solution. He repeated saying that is not possible although we have seen many places were empty in the garden even considering the must-have spaces between the tables. So our birthday evening plan had to end up with trying to find a place to eat outside where we were not familiar with the area. This was the most disappointing reception service I have ever seen throughout my hotel stays, I would not expect such from Radisson Hotels. The following day, we were told we could only have breakfast inside the room (although the garden restaurant was open). The breakfast that arrived in the room was very much disappointing also. Not only the variety but also the completeness. The breakfast tray arrived without drinking water and the teapot was empty. We called to ask for water, after 20 min we called again, after 35 min we called again. We were done with the breakfast but the expected water was still not received!!!

Promises much but falls short. It is disappointing to see how hotels are only making a half-hearted attempt at serving their customers during these tough times. Unfortunately, Radisson Blu Balmoral Hotel falls into this category. There is no doubting that this hotel is nicely located on the hills overlooking Spa. The grounds are well kept and the exterior of this period property is nice. Sadly, once you are inside, one is presented with a hotel that has seen better days. Staff lack motivation, COVID mitigation measures are half-hearted (e.g. very diluted hand sanitiser) and the place is jut not welcoming. Negatives: Slow check-in: not very informative / if you’re tired from your travels, you will probably lose your patients are this Point!. Children do not seem to be a priority. Pool times are from 6 - 9 am or 6 - 11 pm. We stayed in the Suite with Balcony. Very tired room, not very clean and with only a coffee machine, iron and hair dryer. Room is very hot with the AC only coming on intermittently and sounding like a Formula 1 car! The room is claimed to be sound insulated. However, you can clearly hear the cars on the roundabout that is directly outside the hotel. No mini bar, even though they take a charge on your credit card for incidentals. No room service before 7 pm. And to find a menu, you have etc scan a QR code on a menu card…that is not in the room! We had to get one from the bar downstairs. This hotel is pretty good overall. It looks like it could use some remodeling as it is pretty old. The checking was easy and smooth. The staff was very helpful. The restaurant staff was friendly but they spoke limited English. It took almost 2 hours to get the food for dinner.

Attractive old style modern hotel in Spa
Attractive looking hotel with modern comforts. Check in service very efficient. Room door did not lock at first when we shut the door behind us but this was quickly put right when we notified reception. TV and wifi excellent, beds very comfy especially the pillows. Did not appreciate the toilet being in view of the bed, not very romantic. Even though the door glass was misted, one's form could still be seen. Self-service breakfast very ample. Pool was a silent area, a little too still for me (part of the wellness centre). We did not get to dine in the restaurant in the evening, having eaten before arrival.

Nice property. Offered an upgrade for additional fee to suite. We upgraded but the configuration of the room was a bit different. Additionally, the air conditioning was in the room with the couch and table/chairs, not in the bedroom. It did not cool off the bedroom. When we informed the front desk, we were told that was, basically, how it much it worked. Breakfast was nice. Enjoyed the pool and its' tranquility.

This may help you to book a stay in Spa!
Pros-large car park, big enough bedroom, bar food available, bar man on 20/03 was excellent, it is really close to the thermal spa Cons-the hotel is tired and needs some TLC-inside and out, it is NOT a 4*, the pillows are terrible-more like decorative cushions, the food is VERY VERY overpriced, the restaurant food is trying to be Michélin star but no one was in there-it is expensive-no discount for guests, the spa area is also tired and overpriced treatments, they offer no discount for use of the Thermal Spa?!?! We stayed at both Raddisons in Spa, the one in town is more expensive but newer and has a direct lift to the thermal spa. However car parking is €18 a day there-ridiculous when you have already paid for the night in a small rural town?!?! The service and availability of services is inconsistent in the same hotel chain within a mile of each other. Raddison need to work out what they are and who they are and do it all to a high standard.....

Perfect room for a family of 4. If you have kids who want to swim think twice as the pool is reserved for relaxation (no kids) for most of the day.

Disappointing given other Raddison Hotels....
Taking a trip into Belgium deciding to stay at this Raddison Hotel was an obvious choice given others I have stayed in. Unfortunately 2 or 3 small issues spoiled my stay. Monday evening on the bar menu wasnt able to order a steak or burger as a bar meal as they didn't have any? forced to have Pizza as the only option at the bar or spend as I did the night before 400€+ amongst us in the restaurant on very delicate not fulfilling food. The floor in my room was extremely dusty and I used a damp shower towel to sweep round to get it clean so I could walk round in my bare feet. Parking was also an issue and over the 4 day we tried to park every day was an issue. As a 6'1" man been given an eves room was a touch of a problem given when waking in the night just sitting slightly up in bed to turn resulted in hitting my head on the ceiling given the bed was set in the wrong place, I ended up swapping ends which is a faff given pillows keep falling off the end of the bed.. I think on my next trip I will try the town centre hotel rather than what I thought would be a much better experience, I was wrong.

Good hotel - with good rooms. The reception was welcoming, quick and helpful. Slow service in the restaurant - very good meal on the whole. Breakfast was included but they need to have more than one coffee machine available and the hot food was not as hot as it could be
