Top Southwest Cove Lake Hotel Reviews
The Barrington Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent location to many tourist attractions such as the Harbour Boardwalk, Pier 21 and the Citadel. Price was decent for a room but the hotel and rooms are a bit dated. The rooms were clean and well maintained. No food or liquor services at the hotel in the evenings. There is a restaurant attached that is open during the day. There are many restaurants and pubs close by that are open in the evenings. The hotel is also attached to a mall where you can find shopping and a small food court during the day."
Chateau Bedford, Trademark Collection by Wyndham
10/10 Excellent
"Definitely will stay again"
Miller House By the Bay
10/10 Excellent
"The house was beautiful, hosts Margaret and Susan were knowledgeable about the area, helpful, accommodating and friendly. The place was fully equipped and clean and the queen bed was very comfy. Shared bathrooms were not an issue at all. I would definitely recommend Miller House to anyone planning to visit Mahone Bay."
Future Inns Halifax
8/10 Good
"Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The only complaint was the bed. It was dipped in the middle--due for replacement."
The Dockside Inn & Restaurant
10/10 Excellent
"The owners, very helpful and accommodating. Room was very large, clean and well equipped."
Clifty Cove Motel
10/10 Excellent
"Check in was fast, staff were great and polite. Room was everything that you can ask for. Great location to Pegg’s Cove and the view from the balcony was just out of this world."
Rum Runner Inn
8/10 Good
"Very nice spot and good size room. Breakfast options nearby are somewhat limited for a tourist location."
Atlantic View Motel and Cottages
10/10 Excellent
"Very cute and cozy room with access to the water. There are breakfast places in Lunenburg but one can cook in the clean and well equipped kitchen"
The Tuna Blue Inn and Restaurant
10/10 Excellent
"The Tuna Blue is charming, well maintained, quiet, and comfortable. We loved the location right on Hubbards Cove and the beautiful view from our room - the terraces are a fantastic amenity. The building is very cool and it feels like you’re staying in someone’s big old house. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant and waitstaff were friendly and efficient. We never actually met a staff member from the Inn, which wasn’t a problem (nice that they trusted us to check ourselves in and out!). They don’t offer breakfast but the in-room coffee was excellent - though we would have liked the opportunity to get a second cup! In fact we think one improvement they could make would be to use a downstairs common room for a guest coffee station (and a few muffins in the morning wouldn’t hurt!). Our bathroom was fine though a bit dated and the shower light didn’t work, and our room could’ve used a rug. But overall we loved the place and would stay there again!"
