although the town itself is in badly of need of a revamp, the hotel is lovely. Good modern rooms, nice restaurant and cocktail bar. Bar staff need to crack down on drunk women sat at the bar swearing though!
The hotel was very nice and staff were excellent. Unfortunately due to there being a party function on we were placed in an access able room which are next to the lifts. We were woken up throughout the night by people from the function coming back to their rooms shouting and laughing until about 4am.
This was very bad placement from the hotel of someone not attending the event. Meaning we had zero sleep and the quiet nights break was somewhat ruined.
Friendly reception staff, welcoming lobby area with lovely open fire. Good food dinner and breakfast. Room a good size with comfy bed, bathroom could do with a makeover though. Centrally located near all amenities and shops. Good for the price paid.
From start to finish, all aspects of our stay exceeded our expectations. Initial welcome from the owners was warm and friendly, and we instantly felt at home. We were also greeted by their lovely dog Baxter, such a handsome, big softie. First impressions on arriving at the hotel were that it was very clean and extremely well presented. Our rooms were also very clean, furnished and decorated to a high standard and very well equipped (freeview TV, tea/coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, safe, toiletries, cotton wool, etc). Very impressed! Breakfast was taken at a time to suit ourselves, which was very much appreciated and we were able to eat at our own pace without being rushed. There was an excellent choice of food on offer and what we ate was delicious, well presented and of the highest quality. To summarise we would highly recommend a stay at this hotel and will most definitely return.
We had a wedding to attend in Southport and it was being held at "The Vincent." We received an offer of a price reduction to stay there but it was still far too expensive for a family of four (gorgeous hotel though and if I had disposable cash I would've booked!)
Looked on Expedia and this hotel came up at a third of the cost. We weren't expecting much, however, we were pleasantly surprised!
A very friendly welcome, a lovely large family room with everything you could want (if I was to be picky, there were only 3 cups for a family of four) comfy bed and all within about 10 min walk of town and "The Vincent."
We had breakfast which was more than adequate! Would happily stay again 😊

This was a mini break at a comfortable B&B. Room was clean but needed updating. En suite was very small but served its purpose. Plenty of hot water and heating. Tea and coffee facilities in room with biscuits. Fresh milk if required -nice touch. Also honesty bar with drinks and chocolate if you don't want to go out. Close to all shops and amenities. John was a good host and works very hard to keep the B&B running smoothly. Great choice at breakfast and lovely fruit.
