Great stay in Dec 2023!
We had a wonderful stay in December of 2023. The bed was comfortable, room warm but had a standing fan for some circulation. Hotel staff very nice and helpful and the best part of all was the breakfast. By far our best hotel breakfast in a 16 day trip across 4 countries and 8 different hotels.

We had a best stay in Carathotel. Hotel staff and hotel is awesome. Breakfast is fantastic, rooms are spacious and it is very clean and sound proof. Definitely I will stay again in this hotel.

Great 1980s hotel in mint condition
The Carathotel is like a trip back to the 1980s. Everything is original except maybe the television but the hotel is well maintained and everything is clean and everything works. The breakfast that came with the room was particularly good. There were oranges and a station with a press for us to squeeze our own juice.

Fijn hotel vlak voor grensovergang Zwitserland
Hotel ligt vlak voor de Zwitserse grens. De kamers mogen een update hebben. Het ontbijt was erg goed en flink uitgebreid. Ook het eten in het restaurant Haziendavwas prima. Personeel was heel vriendelijk.

Fine airport hotel but they advertised having a shuttle and didn’t. Had to spend 40 euros for a 5 minute cab ride to catch a morning flight. The pint of an airport hotel is a place to crash that has a shuttle. Disappointing.

Our favourite.
This is just about our favourite hotel. 4 times a year we travel between UK and Italy and it is perfectly placed for a stopover. It's positioning just on the Swiss border is convenient and we have always received service of the highest standard. The evening meal is excellent and the breakfast more than excellent. We have no hesitation in recommending the hotel wholeheartedly.

Dreiländereck urlaub
Es war schön und das Personal freundlich hilfsbereit höflich und immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen, man merkt das es ein älteres Hotel ist und Gebrauchsspuren hat, aber das ganze Team ist sehr emsig, tolles Frühstück und es fehlt an nichts und auch so ist für Leib und wohl gesorgt, Restaurant im Haus echte extraklasse. Mangel ist das die Fenster undicht sind und es bei Starkregen durch die Fensterdichtung läuft, kleine Parkanlage vorm Haus gerrluch

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room is very big, a little old but it’s okay. The staffs are very nice and friendly, feel comfortable to stay here. Good breakfast and parking spaces. Recommend to stay here if you want to explore Switzerland but not want to stay in Switzerland.

We booked the hotel because its name is Basel but it is not in Basel, the hotel is in German side, terrible location, very poor rooms.
