I needed an overnight stay for Saturday night event in city centre - which was an easy 10 minute drive. Couldn't fault the room or staff. The desk was well staffed at all times, staff were polite and friendly, and dealt brilliantly with 4.30am fire alarm (which thankfully turned out to be hoax).
Comfortable clean room with all the required facilities at a reasonable price. The staff at reception and in the bar were very helpful. Free wifi in room was a definite plus point.
Generally the room and hotel was good, however, the window of the room coukd not be opened and the staff had to lever it open it with a crowbar! Then when i closed it again and wanted it open again I had to ask again. Only a two night stay, so I didnt want the hassle of moving room cos I didnt notice ...
My colleagues and I stayed a night at the Hampton by Hilton. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was designed particularly well and felt luxurious compared to other hotels at a similar price point. The breakfast was fine but could be improved.
South Yorkshire is one of the United Kingdom's most popular holiday destinations. Idyllic countryside, charming market towns, centres for culture: this is a county that's got it all. Not all of South Yorkshire's visitors come in search of a holiday, however. The county is also a prosperous place of business. Popular for conferences, meetings and industry events, south Yorkshire is home to an impressive selection of well-equipped business hotels.
Time spent on the road isn't productive. That's why all professional events need to find the right location with good access - and great accommodation. This means that all of the finest business hotels in South Yorkshire are set in convenient locations, typically either in a town centre, close to important transport links, or usually, both.
The Holiday Inn in Barnsley sets the standard for convenience, with a location just seconds from the busy M1. There's a modern business centre at the hotel, as well as a state of the art fitness centre, ideal for staying healthy and fit during your stay.
Business hotels often need to offer more than just a place to rest. Today, professional guests tend to expect a space to conduct business within the hotel. That's why you'll find dedicated, private meeting rooms at all of South Yorkshire's premier business hotels.
The Jurys Inn in Sheffield provides ample space for meetings. There's also a generous conference space, ideal for hosting larger industry events. Once again, the convenient central location makes it easy for delegates to arrive in good time.
WiFi in hotels was once a luxury but for professional guests today, it's an absolute must. Business hotels in South Yorkshire will always provide a high-speed, reliable and secure WiFi connection both in public spaces and, in some cases, in guest rooms too.
Productivity may be a top priority, but all successful businesses know the importance of keeping employees happy too. The best business hotels in the county all offer relaxing facilities, allowing guests the chance to relax at the end of a hard day's work.
At Mercure Sheffield St Paul's Hotel and Spa, relaxation is taken very seriously. In addition to the indoor swimming pool, the hotel boasts a full-service spa.
