As a respite weekend from family stress, it was just what was needed. New to the area and not knowing which side of the road the hotel was on, we arrived in the dark where we both mistook it for a garden centre with the Xmas lights in the trees. The Best Western name and 'Mount Pleasant' could be more prominent. Once inside and checked in, we were delighted with the room though it was reached via a narrow corridor that screamed 'budget'. How wrong we were.
The food in the bar was excellent, though there could have been a greater choice for vegetarians. Then it was back to the room for a long nights sleep in a comfortable bed. The hotel is to be congratulated that fresh air is available through opening the window rather than having to rely on aircon to cool the room at night. If this is an example then we will be using Best Western hotels again in other parts of the country.
