The interior of the Queen Bee & B is a masterpiece of white, glass and sparkle. Be prepared to don little white slippers upon entry to help keep the gorgeous interior clean. Our host was very kind and showed us around the various amenities of our room. The bathroom fixtures make a statement and gleam in the sparkling wall tiles. The shower head is a dream although the enclosure is a little tight. A very comfortable quiet night’s sleep was followed by a delicious, filling breakfast including poached eggs on crumpets! Although I felt like I needed to be extra careful and not fumble any glassware or jam pots as the table and table mats were glass.

Great stay! Host was super friendly and gave us a lot of good recommendations. Bed was super comfortable and whole room was spotless clean. House was really beautiful. Not too far from Beacons Brecon and Cardiff.

A friend and I travelled up to Merthyr for a spot of hiking in the Beacons. We received a very warm welcome. The room was clean and nicely decorated/furnished - spacious, with a separate dressing room, and super comfortable beds to come back to each night. Breakfast wasn’t yet being served indoors, but we had some great little “goody bags” to take out with us when we left each morning. Very well located for a short drive into the Beacons each morning. Definitely one to consider if you’re in the area.

Absolutely beautiful stay - given the circumstances we didn’t really explore the hotel much however what we did see was absolutely beautiful. Rooms were perfect and comfortable and cleaned to an excellent standard. We can’t wait to come back

Queen Bee - Best B&B we have stayed in
Bright, modern, exceptionally clean and comfortable. Very spacious bedroom plus fabulous bathroom bigger than most hotel bedrooms! Very friendly & welcoming hosts provided directions and useful info. Lovely cooked breakfasts.

The Best Hotel I’ve Stay In
Arrived late on Friday night after a long drive to be welcomed by the owners. Lovely couple. Always there to answer any questions. The room was outstanding, was shown round the room and also given fresh milk and a cake. Woke on Sunday morning to a foot and half of snow which we thought we were never going to move the owner (mr) came out and helped us clear our car which was very nice. Would stay here again with no doubt. Thanks again Dave and Helen

Hard to find but the master bath is worth it
There is no street number, the house name isn't obvious on the reservation for, and there's no sign on the outside! But, first house on the left. A little far out from downtown to walk but a short drive. Theactual facility is excellent and the bahtub aloneis worth it if you've been out in the cold and rain. But breakfast was extra which was a bit of a surprise.

Lovely owners, who were incredibly welcoming. Perfect location if you would like to visit brecon beacon waterfalls just 25 minutes drive away.

A Little Gem
We booked as we were going to watch the rugby in Cardiff . We did intend getting the train to Cardiff but we were unable to check in before 4pm so we drove. After the game we came straight back and checked in - our room was stunning to say the least. Everything you needed including bath robes. Had a continental breakfast (£5 charge) and left around 9.30am. Probably won't stay there again but the place is a gem although not in the best location. The hosts are both wonderful and deserve credit for what they've done

very nice b and b with high standards of cleanline
I was in Merthyr on business and normally stay in a 4 star hotel but on this occasion chose the Queen Bee due to its proximity to the business venue. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodation. Very good attention to detail and incredibly clean and pristine. Lovely hosts and would thoroughly recommend it.

Hidden gem.
One of the best B&B in the country! Finding it was difficult as the satnav did not recognise the name. Best to use the street address and post code! Excellent for anyone wanting to explore Breacon national park and surrounding areas. Breakfast was always upto standard and the rooms are amazing. One extra feature that I personally liked was the lockable grounds which provided excellent security for our vehicle. All other hotels only had on street parking.

Fantastic stay! Warm, elegant and spotless stay!
The hosts are very warm, welcoming and very helpful! Now, the place: amazing! I booked a night for a business trip but wished I had a longer stay!!! The decor is extremely tasteful and elegant, the room (a suite with shower and bathroom actually) I had was huge and very confortable thorough. The house is quiet and actually, although the owners are easily available, you feel like in a luxuruous hotel. About the cleanliness... I have never seen such a spotless place!!! It's very obvious that the owners take a lot of care of and pride in the premises! In addition, I was able to park in their private gated back court. In summary, I absolutely loved the place. Queen bee and b is from now on my spot in Merthyr Tydfil!

Best place in Merthyr
This B&B is one of the most beautiful and luxurious places I have ever stayed, The B&B is family run and 5 minutes from local amenities. The whole house is designed to the highest standards but also very comfortable and clean. The rooms are HUGE both have super Queen sized beds, a dressing room and seperate en-suite, one of the bathrooms sports a giant bath with 2 sinks, there are showers in both rooms. Both rooms are spotlessly clean and full of 5* luxury, it's the finishing touches that make it so beautiful. You are provided with everything, the rooms really are comfortable and homely, relax and treat yourself. The owners are what makes the place lovely, they will do anything to make your stay comfortable, and are extremely friendly. To preserve the cleanliness of the house you are also provided with clean and comfortable slippers. The house is kept very warm for you so that you are never cold, however if you do get too warm you are able to open the windows fully aswell. I would definitely recommend this place as a home away from home, the beauty and finishing touches make it the only place to stay in Merthyr

We had a lovely stay at Queen Bee & B! Everything was perfect - clean, modern and high quality interior, comfortable, quiet, friendly hosts and a perfect location to explore the Brecon Beacon National Park. Highly recommended!
