Come summer, you can hike around Fallen Leaf Lake and Echo Lake or head over to the famous blue waters of Lake Tahoe to boat, kayak, paddle-board, swim, or fish to your heart's content. When fresh snow begins to fall, the skiers of the group will be glad to know that Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort is nine miles south and Heavenly Mountain Resort is 10 miles north. THINGS TO KNOW Tahoe is home to many animals. You may experience bears, raccoons, mice, and other animals. Meadows are home to many rodents. When these areas are filled with water or snow, these animals move to homes in the area. You may experience these animals in or near your home. This home is not equipped with air-conditioning. Tahoe regularly loses power in the Winter months. This home has a backup generator that automatically turns on if power is lost. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Security camera details: Ring door camera on the front of the house amd also at the back door of the house Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) There is no A/C despite what the listing may say. Overall home is ok. Nice location, home is clean. There were several things that did not work. They could not be missed by cleaners (or inspector before arriving of new tenants) and must be reported to management company. Major concern was falling door in the shower on the second floor. It's really dangerous and may injure legs. Another one was not working ceiling fan in the leaving room. During the hot summer days it was stifling. Faucet on the kitchen was not secured to the countertop and moved widely in all directions. Communication with Vacasa over the phone is poor. I called 2 times and calls were not answered and returned. I wish we had had a little more time to just relax on the back deck and enjoy the trees, and check out more of the trails that are within an easy walk of the house.
