Step out on the balcony for a breath of fresh mountain air anytime. Things to Know Guests staying at a South Lake Tahoe rental must adhere to all City Ordinances. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. In addition, no open flames, no smoking, and parking permits apply. Maximum occupancy cannot be exceeded under any circumstance. Fines of up to $2000 will be imposed by The City of South Lake Tahoe, without warning, for any violations. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Security camera details: There are surveillance cameras throughout Lakeland Village property in the common areas only. There are no surveillance cameras inside the home. Ski shuttle details: Lakeland Village does not provide transportation, but the resort is on the city bus route; however, the city bus system does not go to Heavenly. You can catch the bus with a stop at the Gondola downtown. For additional information, please visit https://www.tahoetransportation.org/transit/. Dock details: There is a beautiful, large pier with a bench for viewing the Lake. No boat docking, no fishing, no diving or jumping off the dock. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Views are beautiful and it is a very quiet community. The unit is nicely equipped and welcoming. A few details would make it a fantastic stay (basics in the kitchen, deeper cleaning). It has an unusual layout with two bathrooms downstairs and only 1 bed downstairs. There are two additional beds upstairs in the loft (but those people have to go down two flights of stairs to get to a bathroom). I'm sure this place is great for skiers in the winter, but for the summer the 2nd floor (and the loft, though we didn't use it) gets really hot without the heat on. We wanted to turn the AC on, but it wouldn't let us. Luckily the hot exterior temperatures driving the hot 2nd floor temp only affected us the last day we were there. We liked the downstairs bedroom with the king bed. The bedding was very nice and the provided body wash, shampoo and conditioner were very nice. ##### Christine L.
